Totally not. I didn't want you to think that. I was wondering possibly who was lying to you, not that you were, or had a reason to lie to us. I'll have to take a look when it comes out to see what he was talking about.Bottom line is. Car didn't shift = unhappy customer. Now car shifts =
maaaan i can say this 10.0000000 quadrillion trillion million times....GET A WOTBOX! it circumvents the entire problem...bang away every single gear at anytime, no boost loss because you foot is planted through the floorboard.....if you take your car to the dealer they will just fark it up even more or they will give it back to you with the exact same problem......Ive had mty 2010 for 1.5 years Ive had it down the drag strip about 100 times and I have yet to miss a shift or EVER have an issue because of the wotbox......i started at 350 ms to get use to it, then went to 250 ms and then 200 then 150 and finally just put it to auto so it works as fast as you can powershift.....anyway nuff said...screw messing around with fixes and get the wotbox! PERIOD!
FYI Tremec has a rear tail housing that eliminates the remote shifter. You need a new main shaft, rear housing and shifter. This is just for the s197. If mine ever needs to come out again I will upgrade to this configuration.
I just wanted to give you an update of the 1st to 2nd grind on my 2011 Shelby gt500. I went to arbertations today at my local BBB. Their was a Ford rep. there and he was a FSE ( Field Service Engineer) and someone from Ford on the phone. So took on Ford!!. The FSE guy said that I had powershifted the car and he said I told him that I powershifted the car which he says means the pedal to the metal and shift hard and fast without using the clutch. I told him that was a lie and I said I always use the clutch and all the way to the floor. I explained that Ford manufactured a High Performance Car with 550hp and it has a defect part (Transmission), and unable to drive it in the manner for a High Performance Car. They kelp talking about in the Shelby Hand book on page 9 that I had abused the recomended sujestions and if I keep doing it, the transmission would tear up. I again imformed them that it says recomend not maditory. Myself, FSE, and the arbertator went for a test drive. I found a road and took off in 1st gear and at 4200 rpms went to second and it grind bad. The FSE then drove it to see if he could get it to grind, but he would shift at less than 1000 rpms and it would not grind, but he did not shift quickly, but he did manage to jerk the car around, due to not shifting correct. The arbertrator then drove the car and I did not hear it grind, but he also was not familar with the manual transmission and jerked us around some. I will have an answer this comming Monday of the arbertrators decision. the 19th of November 2011 and if I am able to post without a gag order I will. I did ask Ford why did they build a car with 550hp, supercharged and and not be able to withstand the hp with that transmission. They had no answer.
There is a video of a Ford engineer talking of how many people have complained about second gear difficulties and how they corrected the new 2013 gt500 to make sure there is no way of missing or grinding second gear.
that video would have been the silver bullet to bring to the arbitration.
Im starting to get the run around from Ford. The FSE came out and drove the car and was unable to make the car grind then the tech I showed how it was grinding showed the FSE, and shifting quickly it will grind and this is after they have replaced the syncro's now. So the rep says that the FSE said that Im shifting abnormally and the car shifts fine and are closing the case. WTF. A sports car you cant shift quickly is BS. Anyone else have an update?

I truly believe its something to do with the shifter. When I took my shifter out, I looked at the bushing and how cheap it looked. Since I switched, I have had zero issues.
ive made over 100 1/4 mile passes in my 2010 gt500 and never missed a shift or had a rejected 1-2 shift....i have the wotbox and it solves everything...no more on/off throttle shifts for me....im sure the wotbox sensitivity can be adjusted to activate at part throttle but for me its wot and thats where i need it...my car shifts fine when i drive it like an old man....i dont drive aggressive on the street at all i just save it for the track so in my case the wotbox is perfect....u can also set the wot shift feature to shift on your shift quickness and not preset which is good aswell...this way u can try it out first like i did which was the full 350ms to get use to it and then set it to auto which blips the ignition only for the amount of time it takes u to shift....
Might be time for a car buy back.
