I give up on humanity. I cannot believe how shitty people are these days! Why the **** didn't my parents teach me to be a douche so I wouldn't care.

People straight up lying to your face. I mean you watch them do something or say something so you call them on it and they deny it:dw:. I am beside myself!

Parenting these days. Well there isn't any of it! period end of story!

At a cookout tonight and some friends of ours brought their 17yo son. This kid was talking so much shit I thought it was staged. I held back for so long until he called me on my accent (Bostonian). I wanted to punch this frigging kid in the face! I gave him some shit but man did I hold back because of his parents..

A decently close buddy of mine I'm figuring out is a compulsive liar. I cought him a few times in stupid frigging lies. I am not one to call someone out but I have to admit I'm at the point i dont care anymore and it's looking like we wont be friends anymore because I'm just being honest.

Anyone else just have one of those weeks where they realize that almost everyone around them are complete A Holes?

Hey I'm not perfect but I'm not a liar, I'm not a pretencious prick and I still utlilize the golden rule. Shame on me I guess.

Some people just aren't comfortable with who they are. So they pretend to be someone who they aren't to impress people who don't care. There's a lot of that these days. So I know what you mean about people just lying all the time.

The land of commies and socialists!
So I take it the parents didn't shut his ass down?

If it was my BBQ I would have told him to start showing some respect or both him and his parents can leave. I wouldn't put up with that crap myself even with his parents there if it wasn't my place.

As far as your friend goes I would talk to them about all the lying they do. Maybe just maybe they will change. As far as I am concerned if you are actually their friend you should say something before just calling them out and loosing a friend.

FlahDah man.
Boston, the home of patriotism. LOL! Instead of doing a BBQ next year why not take the family to an old soldiers home and help the men that have no one in their life.

I would say wait till he turns 18 then kick his arse but there are definitely better ways to handle such situations. I'm sure there are ways you could verbally melt this guy to the point where he feels regret starting first with recognizing that you do talk with an accent... but you don't care what people think of it. This makes it practically ineffective to insult you for your accent.

As far as liars, I know we all lie at some point and time. I just can't stand compulsive liars. This one guy we used to hang out with would always tell us how he was going to get a turbo Civic. Not only would he lie about that but he would lie about numerous other things like girls he banged and many other things. Well, months would go by and he never got a car and we never saw him with a girl so we just never really paid much attention when he would start yappin'. Then, once, he tells me he's looking at a certain Civic. I say it's nice and all the sudden he says "f*** it, I'm gonna get a Supra out dis bitch". Idk what happened but I just lost it and said "You serious? Wtf was that?" Needless to say that's when we stopped hanging out with him. Every once in awhile we'll see him and say "Hey, it's lie-detector test. How's it going?" Everyone else I knew called him that and he deserved it imo

Sounds to me like you had all the ingredients for the next greatest reality TV show. You could call it "Cookout Kings".;-)

Seriously though, I am the same way. I get worked up over how others act and my wife tells me to just let it go.

If you really want to lose faith in humanity, go hang out at Walmart for an afternoon of people watching.:nonono:

Steve, I swear the older I get the more I seem to see behavior in people around me that maybe before I just simply ignored. What I hate the most is when a person lies/boasts with a louder than normal voice when there are other people around. As if they want the whole room to buy into their b.s. with absolutely no concern/conscience that it's just that....b.s. Maybe a person lies and spouts b.s. for so long that they then actually believes their own lies. :dw:

Know what ya mean. Not necessarily a good thing going on with the neighbor due to her actions yesterday. Having a small BBQ with close friends and she came over completely and utterly drunk with her two big dogs. Albeit the dogs are as friendly as could be, they were knocking our 2yr olds down. Just walked right in the door without knocking. I tried to be polite but she was incoherent.

I basically escorted her to the door and told her to beat it. Who the hell does that? I will tell her off if and when I see her next. Sad because her husband is a good guy.
