In process of building a 1966 F100 & found this website on a search for ecoboost.

I just started this project a few weeks ago. In it pretty deep already. Details soon.

Is anyone aware of another ecoboost swap other than the '34 Ford that FoMoCo did? Was hoping for a standalone harness but could not find one so started this swap out on my own. A lot of hurdles to jump for sure.

Yesterday was the day! A few friends stopped by to help. We shuffled some stuff around to make room on one end for both frames.

We were able to pretty much tear down the original chassis, clean up some parts and start to assemble the new chassis. A few Random pics. Shop is a total mess but . . .

Simply not much room to move around so no other vehicles in shop right now.

Once it is up and running I will them mod it. Looking for 400hp & 430TQ @ the wheels.

Performance goals are 30mpg @ 60mph

1/4 Mile 13.99 or better and 100.00 MPH or better 1/4 mile.

This will be my daily driver and parts chaser when done.

Hoping to make a little more progress this evening.

project looks awesome. as far as other ecoboost swaps go, i spoke with a guy that was currently putting 3.5 ecoboost in a 66 mustang fastback and i beleive he was planning to make it AWD. He was a really cool guy and was in a 69 fastback with a KB aluminator and new shelby interior when we spoke.

If I remember correctly, I think FRPP was planning on making a standalone wiring harness for this engine to encourage people to do EcoBoost swaps into older cars. That was a year or more ago, so I don't know if it's in their catalog or not.

Great unique swap project. I am a BIG fan of projects like this.

If I remember correctly, I think FRPP was planning on making a standalone wiring harness for this engine to encourage people to do EcoBoost swaps into older cars. That was a year or more ago, so I don't know if it's in their catalog or not.

FRPP promised me well over a year ago they would have harness soon. Back in April of this year I called them again and they said it was a few years out & the 1.6 & 2.0 Eco's would be first. I did read online where they are now saying a standalone harness should be avail late this fall. I did not want to hold my breath and wait so just started out on my own.

I now have chassis close to complete & am in process of getting cab mounted in proper location.

Engine and trans are in, fuel and brake lines in, front and rear suspension done, fuel tank in.

Getting proper location and orientation for cab~floor~chassis is a tough one.

I am channeling the cab down over frame but have to make sure I have hood clearance and proper tire/wheel into wheelwell and a whole lot more correct.
