I live close to the LAX airport and it just flew over my house. I'm still in awe and shocked in how sweet that was. Never seen anything like that and not sure if i'd ever see something like that again. We had been expecting it, but I got too excited and forgot to get the camera to take pictures. Can't wait for you to post some.

Saw it three times while it was making loops over Los Angeles.

End of an Era.

Now we have to beg rides from the Russkies.

We are no longer a spacefaring nation.:cryying:

That is what gets me, people are acting like this is a victory lap. When it's really a funeral procession.

No shit right.

This is a horrible day for our nation. We officially suck now. We landed on the moon in the 60's yet almost half a century later we have zero capability of sending a human into space without hitching a ride? America, you suck.

taken with Canon 60d and EF 100-400mm L series lens, they are in order that I took them, from first seeing the shuttle Endeavour, going out of sight, and then back over the capital building, and out of sight again.

It looks much cooler with a couple of solid rocket boosters strapped to it as it's heading towards orbit. :) One of the few perks we had living in Central Florida.

Good job with the pics, they look real good.
