Car is no longer available.

I realize ‘For Sale” posts are useless without a ton of high resolution photos. As soon as I get the car washed, I’ll take several new pictures and post them here. For now, I will include a picture I took a few weeks back. I wanted to get a jump on posting the car so better pictures will come soon.

I’m selling my 2007 Shelby GT500. There is a lien on the car but to be clear this is not a situation where my finances force me to sell the car. I am the third owner of the car having owned it since July 2009. I purchased the car in Iowa with 3410 miles on it and it now has 7463 miles on it. This is a clean car with no accidents or previous damage in its past.

The car has been stored winters and has only seen rain once in the last 3 years (got caught in a storm). There is one small dent in the passenger side front wheel lip. The dent was in the car at the time I purchased it. I had a quote from Dent Doctors to perform paintless dent removal and was quoted $140 but I never had it done because it is very hard to notice.

Rather than list all the factory options, I have posted a link to the original Window Sticker.

I have added the following modifications to car while I have owned it.

  • C&L cold air intake
  • VMP 2.65 blower pulley
  • VMP 93 octane tune with SCT3 handheld tuner
  • C&R/Revan dual fan heat exchanger (Shelby branded)
  • C&R Racing high-capacity aluminum radiator
  • Moroso intercooler reservoir (black powdercoat)
  • Moroso radiator reservoir (black powdercoat)
  • Ford Racing M-5230-SGT axleback exhaust (Borla Stinger type)
  • JLT aluminum brake cooling ducts in lower grille
  • FRPP lowering springs (only the rear installed at the moment)
  • BMR Adjustable Panhard bar (not installed)
  • Midwest Auto Gear mirror covers
  • ¼” white stripes added next to factory stripes

I just installed the rear springs a few weeks back and didn’t get time to install the front. I also have a brand new BR adjustable panhard in Hammertone finish waiting to be installed. I was preparing the suspension for the wheels I have on order, Forgestar CF5s in Brushed Titanium finish.

The wheels arrived a few weeks back with a flawed finish so they are have been sent back to Forgestar for refinishing. The wheels are 19” x 9.5” in front and 19” x 11” in the rear. If the car doesn’t sell before winter, it will be stored until spring when the front springs, panhard bar, wheels and new tires (Nitto Invo 275F/325R) will be installed. The car is being offered with the stock wheels and tires and panhard bar included. I wanted to offer the wheels to any new potential buyer but I am willing to sell them separately after they arrive.

I have all the original parts that came off the car and all are included in with the sale of the car. I do not have the original car cover as the previous own sold it before I bought the car.

I also realize Grabber Orange is a love it or hate it color. In 2007 they made 282 Shelbys in Grabber Orange. This car car is 1 or 168 in Grabber Orange with White Stripes.

Car as it sits: $34,995.00 or best offer

A couple new pictures added, not very good

OK, so I had a little time to wash the car today but by no means is it detailed. This was just a wash. Unfortunately, my wife left the house right before I left to take some pictures. The problem is my wife took our camera with her. I thought I would at least try to take a few pictures with my cell phone. I’m not very happy on how they turned out so hopefully tomorrow I can take some pictures in the morning with our camera. Sorry guys.

Gorgeous car. I absolutely love Competition Orange. I'd park it right next to my SN95 if I could. GLWS, someones going to get a nice car.

Have the older brother of yours

I Love the Comp Orange cars, I had 2 Cougar Eliminators 428 CJ & SCJ that were Comp Orange. I have the 64th produced overall for the 07 model. We ordered minutes after Shelby announced he was going to work with Ford on a new GT500, had my deposit in for over a year. Ford didn't offer any options at the time other than coupe or convertible. Didn't even get a color choice, our car is a stripe delete. The first pair of Comp orange cars were bought by Ron Pratt, same hat bought Shelby's Supersnake Cobra for $5 Mil (crazy).
He had the coupe and convertible together, they sold as a pair early this year at Barrett Jackson Scottsdale for $90,750 for the pair with commission. Good luck in finding a new home for it.

Beautiful car. All it needs is a KB and supporting mods. I would be flying up to WI.

She's already got all the cooling mods to support big HP. Heatsoak is not an issue. Most guys stop at the heat exchanger but I added the C&R radiator too. I was planning for a KB one day.
