dont know about silverfox building badass 4r70ws since i dont know anybody with 1..circle d,level 10,bc automotive(think he is closed right now)FB, and PA

Talked to ATFSpeed and was told that the an aftermarket controller is better that a factory ECU to control the 4r70W anyone else been told this??

I will say if you have a ECU from 96-2000 you will be pissing in the wind if you plan on 6800-7k rpm shifts. Im currently at 600hp in my 2 valve with a 2000 ECU controlling my built 4R75W. The problem, shifts are being commanded early around 6200 to shift between 6500-6800 if there is wheel spin. However, the friggin ECU processor overloads and resets the ECU above 6800-7k rpms. My gauges do a full sweep when I try to do some WOT pulls on the street. Not exactly the thing you want to see.

I have a 2004 ECU but the pin outs are different.

Yes u can use the bombinator ecu so u can control every shift point. ATF is here local to me and they did the trans for my buddy's turbo 07 gt that was going 9.60's making 850+hp.

I had a car with an Art Carr / California Performance Trans built 4R70W and their converter. Car was making 435 rwhp and hauled ass.
