Just ordered the 2013 Front Brembos and hardward from Tousley (Thanks Tousley). I have to wait a month before the right caliper is off backorder :shrug: but it should be a good project for my 2010.

Van, I may be calling you soon if my current DBA rotors won't work with the 6 piston Brembos.

Get these installed yet?

Hello to All,

I am a guy from Germany driving a 2011 GT500 Vert and I am following this thread with very much interest.
Especially the swapping of the front and rear brakes.
Did already somebody did this swap?

The question I have about the I/C pump...........will it work/fit in the same location as on the older cars?

The 2013 has electric p/s and the I/C pump is bolted in the area where the p/s reservior is located on the older cars (left front area of the cyl. head/engine block). Is the 2013 pump of the same basic configuration where it can be moved and installed where the old GT500 pump is installed? or is the 2013 pump completely different and it will require butchering the car to get it in place and still keep a p/s fluid reservior on an older GT500?

Jeff, have you tried contacting Bruce (ac427cobra) to see if he can source a custom 15" ring (Coleman, etc) that would work with his existing CNC hats and work with the '13 Brembo calipers?

I couldn't find any "fitted" ones, so my guess is that a "universal" set would have to be used until companies catch-up to 2013.

We have not seen one first hand yet, just looking at the parts catalog it appears to be physically larger but until someone tries swapping them there's no way to tell.

I am very interested in the 2013 Brake Upgrade for my 2011. It is a project which I will start very soon.

My questions:

1. What ist the Part# for the front brake lines from the 2013, because Justin from VMP wrote they are different to the 14" brembos. Is this the only hardware I will need exept the larger 15" rotors with the 6 piston Brembos? What is with the brake backing plate?

2. Upgrading the rear brakes will I only need the relocation brackets from the 2013 shown in the post #312 above or will I need more hardware? I mean can I re-use with the 2013 relocation brackets my 2011 calipers?

3. What is the Part# for the rear rotors?

4. Will I need other brake backing plates in the rear or will the 2011-2012 fit? Same question for the park braking cable?!

5. What is the Part# for the front and rear brake pads?

2013 Rear Brake Part#:

Rear Disc Brake Adapter RH : DR3Z-2C100-A
Disc Brake Rotor RH/LH: DR3Z-2C026-A (Ford Genuine Part)


2013 Front Brake Part#:

Front Disc Brake Caliper RH: DR3Z-2B120-A
Front Disc Brake Caliper LH: DR3Z-2B121-A
Front Disc Brake Rotor LH/RH: DR3Z-1125-A
Front Disc Brake Pad LH/RH: DR3Z-2001-A (Ford Genuine Part)
Disc Brake Anti-Rattle Clip : DR3Z-2B161-A


Not sure I am with following Part#:

Brake Baking Plate RH/LH: DR3Z-2C028-A ????
Disc Brake Pad: DR3Z-2200-A (Motorcraft) ????

Will I Need them especially the Brake Baking Plate from the 2013 because of the larger rotor diameter?!

In order to avoid mistakes before placing an order I have a request.
Can you look over these Part# and check if they are correct and if they are complete or will I need more hardware to do the switch to the 2013 brakes.
