Going to try out the new tires and tune.

Question on the tire pressure. What do you guys run on drag radials?

I have the nitto 555r 305/30/20. I was going to run 22 psi on the first hit and lower it as I go.. maybe the lowest at 15-16 psi.

Your thoughts?

It depends on the track prep. On my old car (G8 GXP) I ran my NT05R's at 18 psi.

My new car is still stock, so I don't have to concern myself with tire pressure.

Goat - It was good to meet you last weekend at the track. Maybe I'll run into you again.

I typically run between 16 & 18 psi, depends on the track prep.

on a dr that large i don't know if i would go that low on psi because it would benefit you with a short sidewall. i think the low 20's or possibly 18-19 psi is the lowest i would go, anything lower than that may end up costing you e.t. instead of helping. i use to run 16 psi in my mickey t's on my GTO but that was a 15" rim with a 26" tire and anything lower than that hurt my e.t.

I'll be there tomorrow night, making my last stock passes. I have a buddy who has a 2006 GTO with a manual and we found a nice quiet spot for me to learn how to do burnouts in a manual.

The day or two after Christmas, I'm getting a FRPP tune, so I want to see if I can get into the 12.7's stock before the tune. The track closes down until January and this will be my last stock runs.

With the anticipated weather, I see 12.7-12.8 stock, should be pretty realistic.

I have JLT Cold air carbon intake, bassani mufflers, drag radials, and beefcake tune! I'm hoping 12.4-12.5 just from improving the 60 ft. I ran 12.8 @ 114 mph with 2.1 60ft on stock tires and can tun on the sct hand held unit. Just getting down to a 1.8 60ft should put me where I need to be and then the new tune should have added a few extra ponies and the cooler weather... I'm excited.

Freaking pathetic. I only got in 3 runs before leaving at around 9pm, when the track shut down AGAIN. The lines were terrible. I was even first in line for one run, waited about 45 minutes for another, the over an hour for the last run.

My best stock run ended up at 12.82 @ 111.88.

Let the modding begin. By the time the track opens back up the first week of January 2013 I will have the following mods installed on the car:

Line lock (I'm still learning manual, so I need some help)
Lower control arms (wheel hop)
MGW shifter
GT 500 axlebacks (no hp advantage, but sounds great)
FRPP tune (only have 2500 miles on car and it's only 4 months old, too new to attempt to put on a major tune and take a chance with warranty)

Then we'll see what happens.

I made 2 runs and left...2013 GT500 in the 13's. Those 2.7 60 ft times won't work.
