I'll be there in a few weeks and I have just about all my paperwork done. Is anyone in Naples area or near by ? I'm shipping my 05' GTO and my bike so just looking to see if anyone from the boards is there.

My wife and I have been here about a month, and our fun car should arrive next week. It is a 2011 Mustang GT with Roush supercharger. We are looking forward to the fun, but not the insurance and gas costs. We hope to drive our beater car (98 Tracer with 175,000 miles) into the ground while we are here so we don't ruin our mustang.

Our car showed up today. Time for some driving. We were a little worried at first because the first start was very sluggish, but everything has been okay so far. Here's to hoping for many trouble free miles here.

take your tuner and datalog the car, send the log to who ever tuned the car for you and have them look it over. better safe than sorry.

Already ahead of you. Every since then the car has been fine, but I still plan on a doing a data log after I find out which PIDS are needed. Also, the car was placed on a loaded dyno to check it over a few hours before I shipped it off, and everything looked good.

I tend to be little a OCD about this car. The car had less than 3 miles put on it from the time I dropped it off in Florida to arriving here. So it basically sat for 7 weeks.

Anyways, does anyone know who owns the Red Boss mustang. I saw it at the housing office yesterday around 3.

Trumpet,
I'm very sorry for the late reply as I'm very busy at work and are hardly on here these days. You must own the 11' 5.0 I seen parked out front of TLA ? I didn't know it is blown and good thing I do know or GTO would have some really hurt feelings, lol. I have not heard back from the guy with the GT500 yet and I hope I do. There is a kid here with a Termi that shifted funny. I have not heard from him since I adjusted his shifter a few weeks ago.

Anyway, my cell here is in your PM box so call me anytime if you have questions. The data logger is a good idea but there is something wierd about the gas here. It's not like the stuff in the states and stains the roads funny. I would log your knock count and see if you get any. I know the 11's have an amazing knock/retard system compared to older cars. Here you should have no issues driving around as most Italians tend to stay away from nice cars ( to avoid damaging them ). At least that's what I have noticed with my GTO.

I ride my bike 90% of the time so my GTO stays parked in my garage ( yes,I have a full american garage/shop that's freaking baller !!! ) I'll feel you in on the rest when you call because I'm tired of typing, lol.

Our main car went down a couple of weeks ago, and we have been forced to drive our Mustang everyday until we find something else. Believe it or not, the only damage has occurred on base. Someone scratched the driver side door in three separate places with their car door. I am really not sure how that's possible. It kind of blends end with the nasty stuff all the rain left behind. I am glad it has stopped raining, because the rain out here seems to do horrible things to wax/paint.

Be safe out there.

Hey Trumpet,
I have been trying to get a hold of you for a while now. Do you have my cell here ? I went to the Rome tuning show last weekend and there is a track day on the 24th of March. I'll pm you more info. I drive my GTO daily and no issues so far,I will day the only time I had issue was when I was on base as well.

I've got the blue 03 with black replicas. Don't drive it much, been having some trouble lately. I've been trying to get her out these last few weeks, but it seems to rain every Saturday! I know there's a red 04 out here as well, only saw it once on base. I heard from friends that the owner kept it garaged 99.99999% of the time, smart man.

had it out a lot this weekend, and developed a few new problems! Something electrical this time, hoping it's not the alternator. Does anyone have a voltmeter?
