Need some help here. Left rear tie rod is tweaked, looks like its coming out of the socket and there was grease all over the inside of the wheel when I took it off. Seems to drive ok though.

Can I just pull the cotter pin and nut off and snap it back in? Or is something broken?

Thanks in advance!

Yes. MM and FTBR both offer kits that either replace the end link, or the whole assembly. I bought the MM basic kit for my car which is just the end links because my joints were looking pretty beat up. The heim joint will be better than the stock style

Since boot is probably torn, might want to check and make sure the half shaft isn't damaged. It could be broken inside and what cause the boot to tear.

Well that was cool, got the car back. Looked up the part numbers on FordParts.com and total came to $731.47 - if I had to do it myself I probably would have just done a boot and aftermarket bump steer, but looks like the warranty saved me a chunk of change. Figure at least a couple hours labor.

So in all this job paid for half the extended warranty.

There are seveal companies that sell replacement boots for the Terminator half shafts.

Who? I have two halfshafts with busted boots in storage and need to repair them.

I don't recall the names but this subject has been discussed several times in the past on here and MF.
A quick search should provide the info you need.

Did a search, some of the posts are mine. DSS came up, bought some takeoff boots from them a while back. Got 3 from them but 2 had pinholes in them and saving them as a backup. Your post implies that they are readily available, but I am having no luck finding them. This information would not only help me but others with the same problem. Any help in pointing us in the right direction would sure help.
