What tires for 600hp?

Looking to upgrade my tires and since this a weekend warrior and I want something that will last longer than ET streets. What would be a good street tire that will hook? Been eyeing the super sports but want to make sure it's what I want before buying tires at 360 a peice

The only tires going to hook are ET Streets. You might get some traction with Nitto NT05Rs. I've heard mixed reviews on the Super Sports and most aren't usually packing 600 HP to the ground.

ET Streets or spin. Taller gearing really helped traction on my car when I went from 3.55 to 3.27 with an M6, not sure what trans you have.

from what i hear they last close to 5000 miles
i have them for my DD

any street tire for 600hp will be pointless and leave you sliding in 4th

702 RWHP and I'm using NT05s, they hook up extremely well. They are very limited in sizes though, Im running an 11" wheel with 315s. Nitto claims 15k miles, just got mine so I can't comment on life span.

I have nitto 555r showing up today. No plans on trying for 1.5 60' times. All I want is the use of third gear for rolls. Have a 3.73 now, do plan a 3.27 gear in future

Don't waste your time or money with a radial tire. I have tried the Super car tire (Michelin) they handle awesome but sucked for straight line traction compared to my Toyos. The best setup for a weekend warrior is another set of rims with slicks to switch out.
I really like the Toyo R88 and I have also heard the sister company Nitto NT05s are good.

NT555R has pretty decent tread life. I got pretty good 60fts with them too. It's a good overall tire.

Haven't got the new rims yet. But it would be 19x 9.5/10 looking at 295-305 range.

^this. 19's are the bastard wheel. Your choices will be EXTREMELY limited. Go with 18's if you want traction as they will give you a bit more sidewall. 20's if you want a killer look. I drove my buddies 12' GT with a TVS on it. It was wearing 20" F14's with 315mm Toyo R888's. It would hook well from anything over 30mph. 40mph hit it would dead hood.

It it were me, i would do 265 35 19 Re-11 front and 285 35 19 Re-11 Rear. For street duty. They run a little wide, so would easily be the equivelant of a 295 Nitto.

An NT05R is what I would recommend for a good balance of traction and tire life.

With 600rwhp your still going to blow the tires off the car though.
