Hopefully very soon I'll have some personal experience with it, as I have decided to either go Turbo with my Z06 or sell it, get an LS3 C6 and Either S/C or turbo it.

Sick man, if you wanna see how long it will/can last bone stock internals, try running at least meth injection.

What are your goals/ build ideas/ fuel/ etc?

I still kick my self for going petrol instead of e85 but I just can't get it up here without driving all across town.

I will definitely be doing a meth kit, it gets very hot and humid here. I am going to leave the internals stock for now except for obviously springs/pushrods and a boost cam speced for whatever I go with. If I keep the C5Z I will most likely go with twin turbos, a lot of guys have done it and there are some good bolt in kits. I'm leaning towards S/C if I get a C6 because it's cheaper, and the initial cost of the C6 will leave me less $ to play with. I will probably do dual in tank walbros and 60+ pound injectors for a fuel system. I'm still tossing around different ideas. I have a huge cam sitting in my garage, but I have had several very fast Head/Cam NA cars in the past and I want something with boost for a change of pace. I want something I can drive on the street, yet I can go bottom 10s at the track. Around 600 RWHP is my goal and if it blows up I will forge it and go crazy. I have a DD, so I can afford for it to be down.

Solid game plan man, it should run very strong for a long while if you go meth, turbo cam, springs, etc. The block and rotating assembly are very strong for cast parts, just the ohv architecture needs a little support and massaging to keep everything alive. Those mods should work well and with meth.

If you can find e85 easy, look into an e85 system. I would have done so if it was more common.

I don't think there's e85 anywhere near me sadly. Yeah I know it's very important to have the supporting stuff; Some guys just throw a blower or turbo on and run it with not enough fuel, etc and wonder why it blows up... kind of like most of the turbo civics I see around here.

Haha that's for sure. I see budget builds that just leave me asking why so often.

E85 is hard to find honestly. I wanted to run it but same story.

Ya your build should last well especially if you go meth.

How much of a handicap is the stock cam in turbo applications longevity wise?

It works just fine, but to be an optimal setup a good boost cam is needed. Its not so much the cam that affects logevity. But the way I figure it im already gonne have the car somewhat torn apart why not change it out lol. I plan on getting some work done to my heads too.

Dunno why OP isn't updating thread. Maybe butthurt about getting beat?

He's being even minded because the camaro dropped valves, he doesn't want to bash the poor event of this fbody's fate. He is in a way a protector of the ls line's reputation.

He hit 88mph during the race (rookie mistake) and traveled back in time. He is currently waiting for the Internet to get created by al gore so he can post the results.
