Understand the warranty thing and all, but why the heck would you want to put those back in the car? I know that many cars have made many passes with the stock axles but I've also heard too many stories of them bending and/or breaking. Mine came out at 1500 miles (unbent) and were replaced with a set of Strange 31 Splines. Best $400 of insurance I could have purchased.

I'm glad you found out what the problem was.

I wonder if it happens when they tie down the wheels for truck/rail transportation ?

Cheap Chinese Made axles! I had to replace one on my Boss, I was hoping they fixed this issue, lots of GT 500 guys are having problems with them. My old KR had one as well, so may not be year specific.

Are the strange axles a direct replacement and if so do you have the part number for them as I need a set. Thanks

I had a bent axle on my 11 with 700 miles in the car. 2 other mustangs were in the shop getting the same fix.

I will be upgrading if I need another one post warranty coverage.

Yes they are direct replacements. P/N is P3112 Mustang C-clip Axle Kit 05 & UP $249.50. You will also need to order wheel studs as the axles don't come with them. You've got two options for studs, press in or screw in. I ordered the screw in to save me money on having them pressed in. They are the 1/2x20x2" Wheel Stud Kit P/N A1025 $20.54. Total for everything shipped was about $305.00.

I knew about the guys bending them after slapping on some DR's or whatever, but guys who havn't even been to the track at all? That's really pushing the limits of what you should expect a customer to accept. If I bust something acting like a fool, that's my fault. That's a different story.
