Terry,

BBR has always had a policy that our customers ALWAYS come first. We have a full functional facility; shop, staff, ect... And like we have always said, our customers will and do come before our own vehicles. It was a last minute decision based off deadlines of customer commitments.

But I will say this(per Chris) "this race will happen........"

In reference to the block:
That's one block cracked @ 700whp~
out of how many Coyotes are there in the 700 - 1000whp range?
It was enough of an issue that FRPP addressed it with a whole new block reinforced in that specific area.

As for the topic, I had really low expectations from BBR, but even this surprises me. A no show is far worse IMO than getting beat. Too busy with customer cars is a really lame excuse.

You didn't realize in the weeks leading up to this you had customer deadline that might interfere? Or didn't realize that you had other commitments prior in the week?

Can i ask a question without taking sides or getting hammered because this thread is going that way...

Why accept a call out 5 weeks in advance and then schedule work in such a manner that this event is coming up and you won't make it. I understand business and customer service come first but if you know you operate that type of shop why commit and join in the trash talk? As a consumer that personally steer's me clear of a place that wouldn't just be up front and say "hey we may make it but it depends on the work load"....I understand if the call out was monday and here we are friday but 5 weeks is a lot of time to get things ready and work scheduled around the event...

I'm sure FRPP takes notes and makes adjustments everywhere they can, but IMO it's far from being an issue. Seems to be one every X amount of cars making around 1000whp that suffer this issue.

It's very costly to produce a new block for a non issue. So issue = known.

And the block I posted of a real world failure wasn't anywhere near 1000whp. I don't know how many 700-1000hp coyotes are out there that haven't failed, but I simply showed an example of one that did.

isn't this "new block" basically a beefier coyote block, with more material around the water jackets? I don't think they created a whole new block from scratch, seems to me like they just reinforced the coyote block?
Yes you showed a broken block, but per every broken one there is probably 10 times the amount of cars making anywhere from 700whp to 1000whp without cracking the block
