Anyone else experiencing this? It happens when I ease into the throttle to pass and the car kicks down. It will drop the first gear just fine but once it drops the second it completely kills itself and I have to let out before I can give gas again. Here is a vid I took of it doing it today. The wrench light actually came on today. Checked for codes and nothing. If you turn the volume up you can hear it.

Might be tune related, also noticed you have a JLT intake and do you have the filter on to far on the tube?

I have had that problem but it was at the track, I hadn't turned the advance track completely off. Does it do this every time you go to get into the throttle?

Its in the tune and has to do with torque values when the tranny kicks down. VMP was able to tune it out on mine, which even did it stock.

No I'm not letting off the throttle. I figured it was tune related Ill have to see what my tuner says. I do have the JLT intake but the filter is about an inch below the JLT writing on the intake tube so I don't think its on to far. It's damn scary when you go to pass someone on the highway and it does it and traffic is in the distance headed your way.

very common... I think everyone I have talked to with an A6 has had this issue somewhere , either on downshifts or during part throttle acceleration. tell your tuner.

Bingo, 3 month to reply to a single email...Shaun had the car tuned in in less than a couple hours...on a SATURDAY

I've had several VMP tunes and none did it, never had more than a day wait either unless they are at a track event then its usually monday which is understandable. If you send an email with no response I would call on day 2. I would trust AED also but am happy currently.

Weird, my manual 6 speed never does this. I'll have to ask my grandma and my 17 year old girlfriend, I think they drive autos.

That's pretty cool to have a GF and. Granny that like winning drag races , but hey at least we can listen to you rev your engine and slip the clutch 15 times as you back into or out of a paking space.... So manuals still have there place.
