Thanks. That really helps, I lost a race to a good friend because of this issue. He has 20 more hp than I do in his 5.0, it happened to me 3 runs in a row, he has heavier wheels(big) So I pulled right off the bat one run got the jump and tried to go into 3rd at the last second before limiter to win and there was a full second I was stuck and then the power drops back down and it took another second to get back up, obviously then I was behind him for the next two gears, so frustrated. I only have bama sct tune and shelby axle back. 3.73

Hopefully picking up a new DD this week. I get stuck in NASTY stop and go commuter traffic on the MA line every day so I don't want to make my clutch any more stiff yet lol.

Then its coming out!

I haven't had any issues banging through the gears at the track, but after I cross the line and push the clutch in while slowing down, sometimes it doesn't want to come back up off the floor, kind of stuck half way-ish down. I'm yanking that spring out TONIGHT. Will provide feedback later.....

It seems after reading all the post the fix would be the GT500 pedal assembly and a different pressure plate. I just recently had this issue at the track and now its 3 out of 5 passes. Ironically a fellow Mustang enthusiast at the track asked me if I ever encountered the problem and I said no. Next pass I go for 3rd and pedal sticks to the floor. Its hard to believe the extra 300 rpms I rev with the tuner makes the difference between the pedal sticking and not sticking. Does the GT 500 have this problem at all and if not whats the difference between their clutch/pressure plate set-up compared to a 2011 GT?

I took the spring off expecting a big difference and heavy pedal and it's hardly noticeable. Theres' play at top of the travel but nothing that I can't live with for a temporary fix. Whether it fixes the problem is yet to be seen.

I installed a stainless steel clutch line this weekend. Clutch felt 'quicker' but I noticed the assist spring so I removed it using the locking needle nose trick. Clutch is heavier now but I like it.

I did the Spring mod and short shifter with the bracket and it made a huge difference. Shifting at high rpm hasnt been an issue at all. I prefer the feel of the clutch now actually, the stock pedal was too soft and vague feeling. I drive it in traffic and its really not an issue its also my daily driver. The shifter bracket helps keep the trans aligned so that could be a part of it. Lets just say i havent worried about shifting at 7k anymore and ive yet to miss a shift since the install.

I have 13 boss. Dot 4. T56 trans and RXT clutch. Had what felt like a sticky spot in the clutch. Removed spring finally, have the excess travel at top of pedal like others have reported.

I started with the Joe Heck hydraulic clutch line, didn't help. Removed the clutch assist spring, didn't help. I just put the Joe Heck motor mounts in, whiteline transmission bushing and changed the oil in the trans to amsoil synchromesh. No issues with pedal sticking at all now.

Other than the hydraulic clutch line and removing the spring assist I don't see how your other mods would make any difference. Good upgrades but not part of the original issue. The problem is the pressure plate at high RPM's that the first two mods help by decreasing the tension on the pressure plate. While only a bandaid fix it does seem to help some.

So I guess I should fully expect to experience this on my 2014. I can sort of understand how Ford could take the position of if you run the engine past redline its your problem. If I owned a roadrunner I'd be really pissed having issues at 500rpm under redline. It doesn't make sense to design an engine that's capable of 8400 rpm and to drop the ball on a friggin pressure plate!!

I doubt that Ford has addressed the issue yet. My clutch stuck to the floor even before the factory Rev limit. Spring seems to help so far. I'm hoping for a aftermarket clutch and pressure plate fix soon.
