Hey now, my Maxima has leather seats as well and its a lot more comfortable and smoother car than my Cobra :lol1: Compared to my Cobra, its also another luxury car.

Gotta love SVTP, if its not a Mustang, its POS :lol1::thumbsup:

Hey now, I have a G35 too...

U started that post off right, they are different. I know what you mean about vw as my brother in law has had nothing but trouble with his jetta

Yea..can't figure this car out. It seems to hate me or something.
Most recent problem is that the car keeps eating coil-packs. I am on my third set already in just over 1 year. After 4 months one seem to go bad randomly. I though I was just buying cheap coil packs so I went and got some Bosch coils. Just had to replace the one closest to the firewall about 3 weeks ago.
Just do not know what to expect next with this car. :(

According xsellr8 if it has leather it is a luxury car so I guess that makes svt a luxury brand? And z06 is a luxury car. Ford GT has leather so I guess it is a luxury car as well

Yeah, if putting words in my mouth counts as my own words than I said that..along with a lot of other b.s

Great cars! I love me some Nissan. Very reliable cars and still running strong. Mine has around 150k and still feels pretty fast, already took out an 09 V6 Accord.

Not saying that BMW are good reliable cars, I have yet gotten any problems on mine but its still too early to tell (Knock on wood!!!). Its surprising that even the lower rank VW cars get problems, I wouldve expect them to be more reliable I mean a ton more than a BMW and cheaper. Seems like they are not far from each other, for this reason I stood far away from Audi's. If VW's are pretty pricey to fix, I cant imagine how Audi's get.

I love the model S however I can't talk my wife into going green lol...if the S4 would have a little more "growl" to it under the hood I definitely would have that as a DD. I wasn't a fan of the SC V6 it has. That RS5 however has a masterpiece under the hood!

.

Dang straight! My G has taken down an 05 ACURA TL, Kia Optima Turbo, ran door to door with a Charger R/T, and given me -0- issues. I looked into a BMW 3 series when I bought it that had a broken window motor and it was insanely expensive plus a wait time just to get it fixed. I made the right choice. That 3.5 is pretty stout at 280HP

Meh...overrated. BMW is where its at. 335> G35 and M3>mach 1 ....terminators are different. Those and E46 M3's are timeless...they are classic

Lol, e46 M3 is unbeatable!! I just checked the curb weight. The mach is actually slightly lighter than an M3 so it doesnt have a weight advantage. Its also well known that the mach 1s were way underrated from the factory at 305 hp. They make 330+ hp which is the same as the M3s inline six. The biggest difference is that the mach has a 100 lb ft torque advantage over the M3. The machs v8 also has a better power curve than the M3s inline six. The machs suspension has stiffer front springs and softer rear springs geared toward better weight transfer which is meant for........you guessed it, drag racing! I dont deny that the M3 is a better balanced car and will out handle a mach any day of the week, but it will NOT out launch a mach 1. Sorry, but you are smoking pot in that regard.

So lets review........

Stock for stock...

Mach 1 has weight advantage
Mach 1 makes same whp as e46 M3
Mach 1 has huge torque advantage (roughly 100 lb ft.)
Mach 1 has better power curve
Mach 1 is geared more aggressively (3.37 1st gear + 3.55 rear gear)
Mach 1 has drag oriented suspension

but M3 will out launch and is faster than Mach 1? Sorry, but no........

M3 wins in the twisties, but in a straight line given equal drivers a mach 1 wins every time. Given the above facts its not even up for debate and the fact that you will try to debate it just makes you look silly and biased.

As I said before its still close enough to be a drivers race, because, lets be honest, there are some horrible drivers out there.

I have also personally raced an e46 M3 from a dig when I had a bone stock 04 Mach 1 manual. I had a car and ahalf on him out of the hole and kept pulling with a solid 3 cars on him by the time it was over.

If I still had that car, I would bet you a grand that I would have done the same to you. Sadly, I dont anymore and my current mach........well it wouldnt be very fair for you at all, Russianstang.

The mach 1 was built to go hard in a straight line and offer raw performance and power. The M3 was built to be a world class handler with poise and refinement.

Dont try to take away from what the mach was built for. The M3 is a much better car all around than the mach 1, but it also stickered for 20 grand more than the mach 1......so it should be.

Mach 1 weight 3465lbs

M3 weight 3395lbs

So where is the weight advantage ?

The part of the leather feels the same through my pants and the ride in a mustang is better for me because I can feel the road and counter steer more effectively. M3 has not a single thing I'd desire. It's a over priced pos. mod for mod the Mach is cheaper and quicker.

The Mach 1 is a complete delight on the road, perhaps more amusing, even, than the pricier and more powerful (but also nose-heavier) SVT Cobra. Steering is direct enough, although it's a bit disconcerting that a car with so much oomph shimmies around on its wheels as much as this one does. No one will ever mistake it for a BMW M3.

What do you think is making it shimmy? The SRA is actually a broken pavement alert system.

mach 1 weight: 3359 lbs is ACTUAL weight. (mags tend to just list a 2v IRON block gt as the weight of the mach)

M3 weight: Source I found online said 3416, but even at 3395 its still abit heavier, but all it takes is a fat ass in either car to make things even.

I know 3359 is legit because i weighed my car with me in it and 1/4 tank of gas or so. No spare tire and everything out of the trunk it came in at 3503. At that time I weighed 150 lbs.

Thats the IRS vs the SRA. Like I said, an M3 will certainly outhandle a mach any day, but in a straight line the mach just has it beat. Thats the only argument I ever had.
