Q. Do these clear the factory Brembo Brakes?
A. Yes, the wheels will clear the factory Brembo brakes without any issues.

Thank you!

We are excited to have a new style wheel for the Mustang that supports a 305 tire :-D

And the rear concave is DEEP which is next to impossible with the Mustang's mid to high rear offsets.

Good lord I just creamed my pants! Like my TSWs but with a concave in the back...

Haha... That has always been the biggest challenge with the Mustang's. Getting a deep concave out of these cars is like pulling teeth. Even our custom forged and flow formed options are a little "shallow" in the concavity department.

These Velgen wheels are truly some of, if not, the deepest concave designs I have seen on a Mustang. I own a set myself and the pics don't do the rear wheels justice. They are really, really deep. Especially for a +45 offset...

And most importantly, they clear the Brembo's if you have them :)

Damn Paul, where were these when I ordered my Forgestar CF5Vs? :) Let me guess, these are in stock too? Crossing my fingers my CF5Vs come back from powder coating next week!

Are they only offered in 20s or do they come in 18s, 19s?

Lol... Yes, they are in stock, ready to ship. We have been working with Velgen on the Mustang fitment and are now finally ready to show it off.

They are currently only available in 20" fitment but we are hoping to see 19" by next year. I don't think we will see 18".

Forgestar has been a little slow in the finishing department but we are expecting A LOT of orders to be ready next week. Hopefully I will have some good news for you :)

Very nice wheels, even the 8 spoke version is nice. I see that these are "cast" wheels. How does the weight compare to other forged options from Forgestar?

I figured as much, in stock, ready to ship :dw: These look pretty killer.

Yes, I'm definitely banking on good news next week!! Definitely want to have the CF5Vs on the car for Mustang Week.

Thanks again!

Forgestar is also a cast wheel but it is flow formed. Here is a link on flow forming: Forgestar Wheels Custom Rotary Forged Flow Formed Concave Performance Wheels

The industry calls it "rotary forging" which I feel is a little misleading... They start out as a low pressure casting and are put through the flow forming process.

With that being said, the Velgen's are low pressure cast and are 1-2 lbs heavier per wheel. However, the quality is excellent.

I have had the pleasure of working with a lot of the members on this board and many of you know we carry primarily custom forged brands. We are VERY skeptical of anything cast. Only because there are so many cheap Chinese made wheels out there that use gravity casting and other low cost methods.

Velgen happened to be one of those brands that we tested and we were very pleasantly surprised by everything from build quality to pricing.

To answer your question, Forgestar vs Velgen is a tough comparison. Both have their place in the market and serve different purposes. If you need a 20x11 and want to run a 315/35 tire, you will need a custom wheel and Forgestar is the best bang for the dollar. However, if you want a sick set of wheels with super deep concavity and they still allow for a 305/35, go with Velgen.

I'm staying on top of them. The weather is nice and everyone should be out enjoying their cars/wheels. I'll keep you posted!

Can these be finished in a GLOSS gunmetal?

Yes, we can do pretty much any powder coated finish and they take 5 to 10 business days to have done. Velgen uses very high quality powder coat, so the cost can be around 100.00 to 120.00 per wheel. If you are interested, I can send you a full quote via PM or email.
