Okay, I FINALLY got pictures taken and ready to show the car with my Y2K3 Cobras. I don't care if everyone has them, I think they are the rims that are suited for this car. I got some great ricer pictures from my trip to Mammoth Cave Nat'l park too :D.

I think they look great on your car. You should lower it a little!

I've always had trouble pronouncing their name. Is it "E-bach" or "I-bach"?

Took the liberty of lowering your car for you. Its not a very good chop but you get the idea.

Not bad at all man, thanks for the compliments, and the truck one made me laugh! I plan to lower after I get a chip / shift kit, I prefer more "go" than "show." The rims/tires drastically improved my handling so I consider them both.

I'm just worried the undercarriage would scrape if I dropped it a inch or 2... Would it?

Naw you should be fine, 2 inches won't be too bad, not honda-style anyway. Get those bums out the wheelwells asap tho, then those wheels will look alot better. :D :D :D

Nice car, looks real sharp with the cobra rims. I used to have a Cougar XR7 before I bought the Cobra.Very similiar to the T-birds, I loved that car.

The springs will help the car alot in the handing department. When I lowered my cougar it made a big difference.

hey, where'd you get those rims from?
I thought that Tbirds had 5x108 bolt patterns. Our cars have 5x114.3, so how'd you make them fit?

I got then from a guy through TCCoA who has a family owned tire business. If you are interested in how to contact him give me a PM and I'll have him email you.

The rims are 17X9 and were $208 each and the tires are Kelley HPT-H rated tires 255/45/17s at around I think $105 a tire.

I had no problems with putting the rims on, the lug pattern was a perfect match and I didn't have to switch anything.

John

p.s. jguerreo, did you have any clearance/ride quality issues when you dropped your car? I am just curious because I don't want to hear that awful scraping noises vehicles make when they are TOO low.
