The Park Service has been far too cooperative and aggressive in it's role as chief harasser of the American Citizens.
By dis-banding this over grown and now over bearing bureaucracy and returning its budget and function to the states, a strong message will be sent, not only to other areas of the Federal Government, also to future Presidents, who who will be warned against more Executive over-reach.

I add; If the States take over the responsibilities of The National Park Service, they should not be required to hire any of the current employees.

....how exactly is this going to happen? Last I checked, it would take an act of Congress, which has zero chance of happening.

Not saying I'm against it, they've been nothing more than a militarized police force, but it has as much chance of happening as Obama being impeached.

Hmmmm, I'm going with no. Why? If we did, states like Cali and all their stupid laws could really do a number on all their amazing National Parks. That, I do not want. There are already hippies in CA who want this stone bridge removed from Yosemite because it "disrupts the natural flow of the water"

Why? All the rangers I've talked with at National Parks were super awesome friendly folks who LOVED their job probably more than 99% of the public.

You are correct, it would take another election, control of the congress and a new President. This being said, I believe many Americans, myself included, will have a long memory and will not want a repeat of their actions.

The parks service does great work in the wilderness of AZ. There are a lot of government organizations I'd rather see go first.

If we're going to disband a governement agency, I'd like to start with the TSA. Then Homeland Security, and then, for a nice finish: the BATF. Do that and we'd be off to a good start.

Department of Education should be included in your list, but TSA is definitely at the top!

In addition to Departments added by other members, I add EPA, OSHA and the DOJ, these freedom wrecking and economy killing enity need to be cut to one third of their current size. Also, their regulations rules should scraped and rewritten.
