You'd think for 40k you'd get a little paint smeared on this

Put the '13 on the lift Saturday to change the exhaust and I couldn't believe my eyes at how rusty the rear end was. You'd think they would paint this stuff from the factory?? Oh well, I guess I know what my next project is!

I don't understand why Ford doesn't have them all painted. The GT500, Boss, and Track Pack cars come painted. Guess that saves them money, since the standard GT and V6 are the bulk sellers.

Por 15 no sanding, just paint over all the rust it dissolves it and protects against future rust! Yeah the rust doesn't look good but it just surface rust!

Umm... I put springs on a '13 track pack the other day and the axle was not painted. In fact it was quite rusty as well.

I grabbed some "One Step" rust converter stuff we have at work, brushed it on with a couple light coats, and once it turned black, I hit it with some black rattle-can engine paint I had sitting around. It's ridiculous that they'd cheap out on putting some kind of paint on the rearend.
