Hey guys I'm looking to change up my exhaust on my 2014. I'm trying to decide if o should get the borla s-type axle back or the stainless works cat back. Honestly I like the stainless works better and also with it only being 100 dollars more and an axle back compared to the axle back seems like a deal. My only problem is I don't know how loud it will be or of this cat back has any drone. Which I'm trying to avoid due to being a daily driver and the fact I've gota baby that also rides in the car. What are your guys opinions, and are there anybody in here that has the stainless works catback?

Both are great choices. I've heard both in person, and they have very similar sound. The stainless works has a little bit more of a "metallic" like tone to the rasp than the Borla S does, so it really just comes down to what you want and what your personal preference is.

Borla S hands down. No drone, tame under normal driving, gnarly at WOT and my baby girl who is 3 months old falls asleep to the rumble of my car all the time. I have had numerous axle backs and was the most pleased with the Borla S. I would have kept it but decided to try the quad tip look.

To me the stainless works sounds more aggressive which I do like plus its a cat back for only 100 more. Bit just not sure how it would be with drone. I do like the fact that the borla gaurantees no drone just not sure of its aggressive enough for me and I don't like the sound of the atak axle back.

I like the borla if youre going to stop there or go with a midpipe of some sort, but the stainless works matched to their longtubes cant be beat IMO. Tough call, but I dont think you can go wrong either way!

Borla-S and lethal performance over the axle pipes with no res. Mind you I am running full but the mufflers set the tone

I just wish I know how the drone is with them. From looking around 8 out of 10 says its not bad almost not even noticable and the other 2 say its so bad that they removed the system.

OP just read that the SW catback is only $100 more than Borla axle backs. That in itself is a deal. But are those prices used or brand new? I would only buy certain parts new like a blower, tires, and some suspension parts. IMO buying exhaust parts new are a waste of money. You could get the same part slightly used for a whole lot cheaper.

Does anybody have the stainless works catback that can give their input?

No offense, but those sound like CRAP! I just listened to the video on Latemodelrestoration and I personally don't like that sound.

If you love your wife and baby and daily drive your car, get Magnaflow Street Series. Trust me. Call Jay or Dan at Hypermotive for the absolute best prices.

Videos do not do the stainless works justice. I've heard video and in person and they sound great.

I personally can't stand the magnaflow mufflers on anything. Something about them I just can't stand. That's online, in person, even driving the car. Just not my choice in exhaust. The stainless works catback is by far my favorite I've heard and I've been listening to every setup I can find online with every setup and I think its the right decision as long as the drone isn't over bearing.

Then get them. Exhaust sound is so subjective, nobody listens to the advice of another anyways. LOL!! Some will say no drone, and others will say they drone so break out the cash or credit card and snap em up. Just don't put the bolts too tight, you'll be selling these.:D:D:D
