Been searching around for a buddy of mine and his 08 gt500... his mods are ported blower..2.50 pulley ..xpipe.dual pass h/e and an jlt 127 ........stock fuel

Sunday we went to tune with kevin macdonald (what a tuner great guy)
Issue he was having is the fuel pumps dieing up top rpm starts around 5800
Commanding 14v but his alternator (3rd motorcraft he's installed)..is dieing out...now I've heard stock pumps even without a bap should support this hp level which was 585hp
We're looking at 2 different altenator an bnr 200a (ebay store) or another reman motorcraft since he bought the upgraded pulley so it won't over spin...

Gonna send some data logs to kevin once we fix the altenator .... and hope it dosnt die up top

Now ive done some searching and found the 5.0 pump is a 290 flows lph ..13 gt500 uses the same pump but 2 of them....has anyone use this pump on the 07-12 gt500

Just add a kb boost a pump. Also make sure the battery is fully charged and if its older than 3 years get a new one. One thing that helps kill alts on these cars is batteries on low volts. I've been through 3 alts too. Now I keep my car on a Battery tender all then time since the car is not a daily driver.

You should not need a Boost A Pump at this power level. Replace the Fuel Filter?

Change your fuel filter like VAN said, happen to me, shut it down on dyno at 580hp then change filter and added a Tvs now makes 630 with stock inj and stock pumps, no BAP.

Cant remember where I saw it on here, but I don't think the 13 pumps will be a direct replacement for the older cars.

Fuel filter is not even a year old... I know the stock pumps are good...its the altenator not suppling enough power...need to upgrade that first. ...but I was talking to my buddy to find larger replacment pump for safety or fuel system and run e85
