Y2K Cobra R Wheels on 2011+ Brembo car? ... YES THEY DO.

I found some Y2K Cobra R Wheels for really really cheap locally and wanted to know if there was a chance they could fit my car for autox duty. 18x9.5. No idea on the offset but he said it was the ones that came off the Cobra R. I have a 2013 GT with the Brembos.

Yeah I sent him a message and a text. Don't want to lose them but don't want to waste the money if they don't work. I'm trying to find out the offsets and see if it'll work myself but I'm having trouble figuring it out.

That's what I'm asking. I'm doing some digging now to see if I can figure it out. If they do I'm snagging these asap. I'll post pics if it works out.

They're not going to fit right and won't clear the brembos. Sn95 wheel offsets are way different than s197 wheel offsets are.

Yeah it looks that way. It seems that our cars need a minimum 34mm offset wheel to clear the brembos. Biggest Y2k offset I can find is 24mm. They do make a 36mm 95 cobra R wheel though. I'm still looking but hopefully someone who knows a lot more about this than I do will chime in.

Either way, if I'm doing my math right I don't think either one would look right even if it did fit. The offsets are way different.

Alright...well the verdict is in. The guy I bought them from thought they were replicas, come to find out they are not. They are real Cobra R wheels. They have been painted. The offsets the real ones have are 20mm and they will fit. They clear the brembos and don't look half bad either. I'll post better photos when I get the tires on there.

If thats a real wheel thats definitely a knock off center cap.

The wheels actually look ok on the car.

Real wheels that are painted, that's what KWClutch told me. the seller thought they were replicas, so he may have gotten replica caps.

Thanks guys. Yes it is sterling grey. I have no idea about the center caps but all 4 have the correct stamps on the inside.

Here is a shot of the stamp. It didn't really matter to me anyway. The price was great and they were painted to almost match the car. Very happy with the deal. Now to put some Hoosier A6's on them and have some track fun.
