real test against 5.0

So I did my X-pipe install with a few friends (Still have a leak on Pass side) after we finished we all went out for a little cruise. My best friend has a 2012 5.0, Boss intake, O/R X, CAI, PYPEs exhaust and a Tune, (1st run) we pull in 3rd and slowly but surely I yank a fender on him, then I have a retard moment :loser: I ATTEMPT to go into 4th and go into 2nd, but i jumped on the clutch ASAP. (2nd run) So we both jump into 3rd again doing 45MPH, rip on it and i get him with that same fender, THIS time I actually grab 4th and pull out to put him at my back bumper, and we let out of it at about 120. Now i got him wanting twin turbo's :rolling: Good bit of fun.

I met a kid who just bought a o4 cobra. And he either had that thing modified by te previous owner. Or he went to town on everything when he purchased it, from heat exchange, pulley, intercooler, and a few other things not sure if he was a ported blower or not.. Though I'm sure he's got a bit more power to the tires, either way I'm excited for my first terminator encounter. We're hopefully set to run Tuesday and we'll get that on the go pro. So stay tuned to video & pic buffet

Also running a heads/cams G8 which is a 121/2 car so should be and interesting Tuesday.

The bama cam tune on the 5.0s add no power just for sound from what i'm told. I tried it no difference in power. I run the 93 race tune and love it.

That's what I was thinking. lol.

Still the Cobra would hold an obvious advantage over a N/A Coyote running from that speed in 3rd seeing as how it makes noticeably more lowend torque and a much broader curve.

From what I read on here, a full bolt on 5.0, cj or boss intake, etc, is a 10 second car, keep up with a 2013GT500 from a roll, beat z06's and will put bus lengths on a pullied cobra. Im not trying to be sarcastic. This is what I read from the members on here. so if the 5.0 is that much of a beast and both were in 3rd gear, what does it matter?
