Just curious if anyone has driven a newer 2011-2013 Grand Sport....if so what did you think?

Fun to drive?

They're nice and handle well. However, they are the heaviest of the C6's. If you can swing it, just buy a slightly older C6Z….I PROMISE you won't regret it!

They don't have a lot of cushion and don't offer the most support to keep you from sliding around during some seriously spirited driving. Honestly though, they're certainly not horrible…just not the best. I've definitely been more impressed with Mustang seats over the years as compared to the Vettes I've owned.

You've obviously never open tracked a 96 Cobra with stock seats.:poke::poke:

I don't find they are all that bad for factory seats. Agree with the cushion part but I'm not buying a Caddy IMO.

I have been comfortable on some decent length rides.
Just my opinion but I don't spend a lot of time in or around them anymore.

Hahaha! No, I have not :) Guess most of my recollection stems from the '00 and up Mustangs. My Fox bodies before then came at a time when I was super young and comfort didn't really matter much….

I'd rather have a Grand Sport than a Z06. I have more faith in the LS3's durability.

If you're going to mod both of them, and honestly, who isn't going to mod them, the LS7 is a no-brainer. Swap the heads and the durability issue is then a non-issue.

The Grand Sport is a really nice car, but I'd be looking at used Z's over it for sure.

Personally, I wouldn't buy a car that needed a head swap.

Dropped exhaust valves and thinner cylinder walls on the LS7s. I'd go with an LS3 as well, especially if you plan to mod. I wouldn't trust boost on an LS7 but, that's not to say it hasn't been done. I just wouldn't.

I've heard the same sentiment from my friend who owns a LS centered shop. To date their highest horsepower build was a Z06 with a 6.2. The 7.0 blew up at a very low mileage with minimal mods.

My dad has a '12 inferno orange GS. Really fun car to drive and turns heads like nobodies business. Was actually cruising around yesterday afternoon in it.
