Sweeeet!!!!

I'm glad to see someone posted some results of their weekend trek to the mile this past weekend.

I see you installed a 6 point bar. I know you were doing some engine mods to the car for this event. I'm assuming the wind and weather weren't working in your favor to achieve your 200+ goal. How much power do you have now? Are you still running a stock long block and cams?

Thank for the video

Mods are about the same as last time, We couldn't get the motor done in time for this event, so I didn't even try
we pulled the rev limiter down to keep the motor together for this past event, plus the weather wasn't cooperating either , that cost me some speed
my half mile speeds were really good and I learned a few things

the speed shown in that video is not my results from this past march event, the video is just a lot of my favorite moments

it's at 876hp 765 tq

and yes 200 MPH is the goal

Hey Derek -

Do you mind letting me know what roll bar you are using? Was it bolt on or was welding required? easy to install? I have the harness bar but HPDE events wont let me use it because of rollover danger.

Thanks man and great video.

it's made by RPM roll bars, you can check them out at RPM Rollbar - Home
if you want to buy one, you can do that at Revan Racing, Inc. - Performance Parts for Late Model Mustangs

mine is basically a 6 point, 100% bolt in with removable door bars because I still like to street my car, and it is hydro dipped in standard carbon
I had the door bars custom made to fit the interior better, any cage builder can do this for a minimum cost
and I feel better knowing that It can be unbolted and removed if I want to

I didn't do the install, I had a shop do it, and it took them about 10 hours, it is quite a job,
but I feel safer at high speeds and the cage looks great

Where do you keep the fire extinguisher?

Man, I was nervous just watching. Did the car ever feel like it wanted to fight you for steering?

I keep the fire extinguisher clamped to the handle in front the passenger seat,
I normally tie wrapped it, but I heard tech wanted them to be more secure so I had to add some hose clamps the last minute at the track
I just moved it to the roll bar today with a quick release kit
think I got it from Summit or JEGS

and this car feels really stable at high speeds, I set the steering to sport mode and it handles really good
after 190 is when my blood starts to pump, it's a lot of fun

I'm getting the car ready for my next set of mods..........stay tuned
if everything goes right, I will be at the Texas Mile in October

My best stock run was 164.4 in the fall with not ideal conditions.
My best 13-6 run was 176.6 same weekend, same conditions.
My best with AR LTHs and H pipe 180.7, same conditions this last mile.

If we could have run Sunday, the tailwind and cold air would have given me 185 at minimum I figure.
