Hey guys. Did a quick scroll through this thread. I see a 5.0 and GTR comparison came up. Everything looks normal in here! Carry on!

Not even selling mine. I'm leaving it on the side of the road with the keys in it, walking to my nearest Ford dealer barefoot and paying 2x sticker price for a 5.0

Don 't do it man. Wait for the 2015. Don't waste your money on old 11-14 technology

But first gen GT500s are slow stock. Hell they can barley pull a ls2 vette lol . A lighter bolt on 5.0 will have no problems with a 4000 lb Shelby.

I can't imagine driving a stock 500. But I'm sure a heavily modded 5.0 can hang with a STOCK..... Again ****ing STOCK gt500. Line em up stock.... Or line them up with $1,000 worth of mods each.

You can't use the 500 cost more to buy excuse because used 07-09's are way cheaper than new 5.0's.

Not that you guys care, but I ran my car tonight at RMR which is one of the worst tracks in the country, DA was equal to 5014ft above sea level tonight. It ran a 12.8 at 112.89mph. Before you start to make fun of my time, know that a stock 5.0 runs around 105-107 mph with a 14-13.7ish quarter mile time out here. This at a sea level track is about a 118-120mph trap for my car. Nothing was done to the car at the track, street tune, street tire pressure, I drove an hour to the track and made a pass straight off the freeway after I teched in.

Like I said in the beginning, if the GT500 had had a pulley it's game over. I'm 100% sure it did not have a pulley, because of the out come. And no, 2007 GT500's are not cheaper then a 300a 5.0s.

Lol, TOOL post of the day.

You think it takes a heavily modded 5.0 to hang with "****ing stock" gt500?

Make a call out thread, plenty of fast cars in Florida that will show you what a heavily modded 5.0 can do.

It's a good kill I just think what got me fired up is you saying you would have 4 cars if the race started even or whatever.

They are cheaper. There are a ton of 07-09 gt500's between 28-$32,000. I was looking at 5.0's when I bought mine (for $28,000) and when I saw the sticker price I said no thanks I'll take a used gt500.

I may have to. All I ever see driving them is old white ladies that don't want to run. I'm not dogging the 5.0 I think they make awesome power with basic bolt on's and with forced induction they are even crazier. I honestly would love to have a twin turbo 5.0 at some point. I'd love to run a 5.0 putting down 475-500rwhp and see how big of a difference the weight savings actually is.

LOL @ a 07-09 GT500 being "WAY" cheaper than a 5.0. I'm pretty sure you can get a 11' 5.0 for low 20s now.

The price thing really is dumb considering whether it's a 30k 5.0 or a 60k gt500, MOST (read not all) these cars belong to the bank.

In before everyone owns their car outright lol
