Well, it's been coming up on 10 years since Ford introduced the Ford GT.. they need another "Halo" car.. what does everyone here think?

They could reuse the gt frame with some tweaks and build a shelby cobra to compete against vettes and vipers.
They already have the trinity.

427 DOHC modular motor + blower + tube frame chassis + carbon bodywork. That would be nice.

Hell, just upgrade the Ford GT with some new suspension, brakes, and drivetrain. No need to design something new, when you have a piece of art already!

I tend to agree with upgrading the last Ford GT. Like Chrysler SRT did with the Viper. New or upgraded, it would really be great to see Ford birth a new high end performance icon. :)

It would also be nice to see the old GT's come down in price!!! I would like to get one within the next 20 years lol

Crash safety and emmisions won't help Ford bring back the GT, unfortunately.

Yeah this sucks. IMO Ford really doesn't even need to R&D this. Drop in the Trinity, swap over the new carbon ceramics from the GT350 that's going around, put new suspension in (vague, but whatever Ford has now is better than 10 years ago) and you're done. Or if you want to go crazy, debut a v8 ecoboost for it.

Ford GT body with a 60-degree V12 and AWD. If you're going to go, go big.

To ad to Snover, and if they want to take center stage, they will need to use hybrid technology.
Regenerative braking and the hybrid motor to spool up that turbo.

Go with either a built TT 5.8 or TT 6.2, maybe even a TT 5.0. Turbo is the way to go, look at mercedes and bmw.

I'm right there with you....But I doubt that'll happen. Probably won't ever see them below $175k again.

Would more than likely use Coyote architecture. Trinity and Hurricane 6.2 are pretty much done.

Wouldn't mind seeing a sleeved 5.2 version of the coyote with TT. That can be their Eco-boost v-8.

Would make stupid power and wouldn't require too much retooling on the assembly line.

I think they would have to make it hybrid though for it to truly make a comeback.

God damn the Ford GT never gets old. So sexy. A refresh of the GT would be awesome.

I don't think it should be redone again. I mean how many years was it before it was done in 05? 9 years later and we need another. nah let the GT be king for a long long time

I would love to see an updated ford GT. But they loose their ass on these cars...do they not?
