I know its the toll plus admin fee but don't know the fee. Mix up in signs and boom simple mistake. Shit happens.
The crooks, I mean local government, will just send you a bill about double what the normal fee is by way of information collected from a picture of your license plate. If it was peak hours, should be about $2.50. The late fee, however, will ad about $25. It's quite the scam here in Hampton Roads since the downtown area tunnels are now tolled. You either pay their "tax" or deal with finding another way around the rivers. Political trolls.
Too much :/ I finally bought a easy pass but refuse to mount it. I just hold it up to the windshield when I drive thru the tunnels.
Wasn't peak hours like 8 at night well I don't consider them peak. So the toll was either .70-.75 cent. And the late fee is that because I'm late paying the toll? Or if Im late sending them their school lunch money?
What's crap is people not getting the bill or getting it late. The website to pay is a joke as well.
Maryland is just as bad with the tolls, cameras and fines.
So happy that they never tolled to MMBT. The drive from Hampton to Suffolk would have been hateful if I had to go any other way.
Went through that bull crap in West Palm Beach. I drove there to pick up my Cobra and went down a toll road, ended up going through 2 booths, it was late and night and I wasn't familiar with the area. I called the toll company the next week to make my payment and gave them my plate number, they said they had no record of me going through there. So who knows how well there technology works.
Also, if your bill gets lost in the mail you are pretty much screwed, unless you call to make payment. I heard about one horror story with the Florida Sunpass tolls where a man acquired a $30k bill because the battery died in his easy pass and they were sending his bill to the wrong place.
I avoid tolls if at all possible.

Just sent a check for a camera speeding ticket my wife got Christmas Eve. And with the toll increases, i feel like i've paid for the Key Bridge myself already.
Yea I typically avoid tolls but oh well I'll call Monday to see.
A couple of times I've forgot my toll tags (more cars than tags). I've only gotten a fine for one of them for whatever reason. It was about 12 bucks.
