I'm holding out for the real thing, the modified ones seem like an OK option, but I can wait it out.

I just placed a order for a tremec t56 26 spline input shaft from D'agostino Racing. They are in stock the site says. We will see tomorrow if the order goes through.
Aw crap, I should have searched a bit before ordering from them....well I guess time will tell! Thanks for the heads up cj428mach!
Don't wait get your money back, I ordered some parts from them last May never showed up. I called them 20 or 30 times sent 10 15 emails no response.
I ordered the same thing from them before I learned they went out of business. I ended up contacting my bank to dispute the charges. I think they're officially out of business, but for some reason the site is still up.
I called the CC company yesterday and explained what was going on - they immediately refunded my money - thanks for the heads up guys; I should have been a bit more careful,. but when I saw that input shaft in stock, I quickly grabbed the CC and bought it.

Just spoke with Texas Drivetrain yesterday, they're currently sold out of the 26 spline input shafts (Modified Tremec GM units). According to the guy I spoke with they're have more in stock next monday, going to just order one since people have used them with no problems.
I did some additional research and apparently the modified GM shafts can be a problem when used with twin disk clutches, so just fyi. I have a RXT waiting to go in so I'm holding out for the real thing.
Might depend on the clutch, the Dyad only has splines on the first clutch so it shouldn't have an issue with the shorter splines of the modified gm units.
Do you have a link? I don't have a twin disk now, but do plan on adding one by the end of the year.

I called D&D today - they told me tremec has been telling them the same thing that we have been hearing - they are going to make more shafts, but they have not yet. D&D said they didn't think tremec will be making them anymore.
