The pic shows why I traded my 'lil red Stang for an AWD car (northeast took a beating this year). ;-)

Got new General G Max tires that helped a lot, but it still ain't AWD. The 13 5.0 was my 9th Stang, so I can't complain. Loving the SHO ...

Thanks.

The 5.0 was a good dd too (except for maybe 5 or 6 times a year), got compliments on it all the time. But it was time to let it go, and now I have a decent performance car that can handle inclement weather.

very nice choice. I have been looking at the SHO and a couple other cars to replace my 5.0 when the time comes. they seem to run nicely with a tune. I really like the way they look.

TY!

Like my Stangs, I'll be keeping her 100% bone stock. But I tell 'ya though, even w/o a tune she runs really nice. :)

They run good with a tune. I really enjoyed mine, but traded it on a CTSV. AWD not really a concern in south Louisiana.

Yeah, New York State is meteorologically opposite from Louisiana. Not wanting to bother with a Winter car (and being a Ford performance man) the SHO was the only way to go.

And having purchased an extended warranty, tunes are out. I'll take her just the way she is. :)

I'm looking at the possibility of getting another SHO. Rebates are currently $4500 in my area, and I'm looking at sinking another $2K into the GT500 to get it to drive like it should(clutch). I'd build one, as their are 3 in my area two black, one Ruby Red, and non a PP.

Did you get it with the PP? If you have the F1 Supercar tires, you're in for a rude awakening in the snow. Lol! That AWD doesnt do shit in the winter time with those tires. I went with an extra set of wheels and Blizzaks for the winter

I miss my 5.0, but I got to tell you I'm loving the SHO.

Get another one!

Ha! I've been replacing Summer Tires with All Season's since my 04 SRT-4 (and again with an 07 Balt SS Supercharged, and again with a 13 Focus ST) so I was happy to get a non PP car. Mine has the factory 20" wheels/Michelin All Season's, hassle avoided. :)

Nice ride! Mine's nearly identical! Tuxedo Black, fully loaded except for moonroof and massaging seats. My GT500 is my favorite to drive but the SHO is the overall best car I've ever owned.

Thanks! TB is great when it's clean, but trying to keep it clean is becoming a full time job. lol

I kind of miss my 5.0, you can definitely feel the extra weight of the SHO. And yes, burnouts are no longer an option and burly V8 sounds are a thing of the past. But I live in the Northeast and if I have to own just one car, it's got to be the SHO. The room and upscale of the car is obviously great compared to the Stang, and even w/o PP it still accelerates well.

Does anyone know whether or not the 5.0 wheels would fit the sho for a set of winter wheels? I have the track pack wheels on the 5.0 that I will end up taking off for something wider eventually and then I would like to use them during the winter on the sho.

I did the same thing. I sold an 11’ 5.0 and just bought a 10’ SHO PP with a dyno tune on it. I have not taken delivery yet but I’m anxiously waiting!
I’m liking what I’m reading on this thread regarding the decision!

I know this is an older post, however:

Not sure about the S197 wheels, I haven't tried those, but the S550 wheels are the correct offset and look beautiful on a SHO. I've got a 2014 SHO, and for awhile it was rocking the 20x9 Mustang Foundry wheels that were an option on the 2015 GT's.

I'm on the opposite side of the fence, I gave the wife the SHO for her daily and got another Mustang GT (2013 Premium Track Pack w/ Recaro's) to drive daily. I swap on dedicated snow/ice tires to drive it in the winter time. Even with full bolt-on's, it drives great. I'm in my 3rd winter season with it (was stock the first season).

To further derail, my wife wanted a SHO for her daily this year so we grabbed a new 18 with PP, and I insisted on Blizzaks for her, wanted skinny wheels that could fit over the PP brakes, had to go with these.
