last year i left my car at brads for a few months because i couldnt find the kenny brown parts to get it fixed and it just sat there...they didnt charge me for leavign the car there. Thats weird they charged you for an additional hour. Theres no way i would have paid that.

Brad's done other things to my car that just piles up making me not want to use them more and more.

I had Brad's install a 10th anniversary E-brake handle for me about two years ago (apartment living, no jack/space to work on cars). After recently swapping rear axles with Tyler, I discovered that they failed to reinstall the plate on the handle that maintains the tension on the cables, so the cables cinched up as tight as possible, preventing us from reconnecting the E-brake lines to the rear calipers until I identified the problem.

Another time, I had them put some C/C plates and a bumpsteer kit on my car. Granted, the previous owner of the car was probably the person that had cross-threaded the nuts on the passenger side strut, but, rather than attempting to re-die the strut properly, Brad's took a file to the threads, and it's pretty gnarly-looking.

I've just had too many experiences trying to fix little f-ups from them that I have a hard time justifying paying them to do anything for them anymore. Maybe my projects weren't high-dollar enough for them to focus their full attention on doing a great job, but IMHO, if they don't/can't take the time to do those right, why should I trust them to do more expensive/difficult projects for me.

Good thread:

I'm looking to have some things to install. My usual guy and place has been putting me off for almost six months with excuses.

Any recommendations?? I'm trying to get the MM street grip package installed and bumpsteer steeda kit and balljoints and some other suspension things. Looking for a good honest price and awesome install, unlike the previous mentioned people.

Thanks

It's a drive, but all ford performance in Vancover Washington. They did awesome work with the gear install in my cobra and were also awesome enough to put a full tank of gas in her before I made my journey back. Jeff, Jeff, and Chung are very in tune with the mustang crowd. The tough part is the drive, but I guarantee that they will see my business again soon.

Yes, very good work. I would just schedule something for a day during the week, take the day off, and go down with all of your stuff. Hell, I'd join ya just for the trip to see the ol' crew:beer:

Yah good idea :), But, I will see if I cannot muster something more locally first. I'd like to keep the mileage low, if you know what I mean.:-D

I know it is an old thread.

I live 4 hours away from them, my vehicle has been there for a few months and they haven't been answering the phone for the last 2 weeks, I've sent text messages to Scott the guy there and on facebook, and no replies.

What can I do when a garage isn't calling back their customers and not responsive?
They've been stalling me for months now as their dyno wasn't setup when they moved last year and they always say that they are working on it, weeks after weeks and I still can't pick it up.

Old thread is old. Anyhow, that sucks! Maybe it's time to send it to a different shop. I know I mentioned Chung, but I don't know if he's rocking things anymore. I'd recommend Brad's in Seattle at this point. They have a dyno finally.

Call and leave a message that your coming down with a trailer to get your car. Dont give the exact day, but be sure its during business hours. Follow through as they could be using parts off of your car to finish another. There was a large shop on the east side that had to close down and declare bankruptcy due to some of the techs making side deals. The owner of one of the cars came to pick his up and found out the engine was pulled and sold.

I can affirm that the scott guy doesn't respond to messages on facebook or anything. I left a message on their shop voicemail and no one called back...

I got tuned there and the tune was good but my rpms were dropping insanely quick when you get off the throttle so rev matching was impossible and the car shuttered a lot when you lift on the throttle cruising. I just need to come in for 5 minutes for the tuner to change 1 parameter in my tune and they gave me an APPOINTMENT for weeks out. For 5 minutes of work..

I will be going to Brad's from now on.

I just saw this, I know it's old.
I just want to clarify that the shop has a whole new crew.
Scott works at a different shop in Auburn, WA now called RSS (Revolution Speed Shop)
