Alright guys my car is in sig heres his:

2013 SRT-8 Challenger 6 spd manual with the following:

I want N/A with minimal mods. keep in mind my end goal is a On3 kit.

I don't have to outrun him but he cant leave me smelling roses..


Any thoughts. Im thinking;
-Boss 302R exhaust cam upgrade with Comp Heavy duty springs on both I/E.
-MMR oil gears
-MMR crank sprocket
-MMR Phaser deletes
-Lund tune 93 only
-High end shifter
-trans mount


Currently have waiting to go on;
-koni orange
-Steeda springs
-bmr adj panhard
-bmr lca
-bmr lca relocates
-gt500 strut perch
-CC plates (steeda?)


I hope that with those mod's I would get out of the hole quicker than him and use that redline to keep him at bay. I would find it utterly hilarious to run him hard with no FI or NOS.
Considering he just dropped that kinda cash..

Your list won't help you much in a drag race. The camshafts will offer minimal gain for the money. You big bang for the buck would be exhuast (cat delete pipe minimum), a good tune, and drag radials to give you the jump while he hopefully spins or has to feather the throttle. Hoenstly, with your car being a vert, your going to need a power adder to humiliate him. Remember how much coin he is spending tho! If you spent that you could easily be in the low 10's.

150 shot, a good tune and some good rubber should be enough. The mods you listed arent going to make you much faster. Even if you went with full bolt ons and cams, your weight is going to hurt you. I say spray it. Way cheaper than the parts you mention.

His mod list is very similar to the HPE650 Challengers and they put down roughly 520-540rwhp. Get him from a dig and you'll walk out, assuming you can bang gears.

Don't get a convertible if you want to race:p

Like mentioned, you really didn't list any power mods. Get drag radials. Full exhaust without cats, cai, good tune and maybe even get the cobra jet intake and scj tb.

As others have already advised, full exhaust, tune and good tire setup. You can steal the holeshot, maybe hold him off for an 1/8th mile while his rear tires go up in a blaze of smoke, but he will eventually go right around you. A Nitrous Outlet DP setup will even the odds and perhaps tip the balance in your favor.

Lol I did'nt want to race but he called me out the ****ing pussy....figures he will have me easy....im not having it.

Well looks like I may have my hand forced into the ON3 kit. Damn

I did notice that other guy on here with a CJ kit and E85 hit 515rwhp. however E85 is a no go up here.

Those are nice nitrous set-ups but will not be compatible with a turbo set-up and factory block..Lol

Also the "full exhaust" would include, I assume headers which also does not play into the turbo system either.

I knew it was an up hill battle but the more I research the Coyote the more impressed Im and would love nothing more than for him to know he is ****ed beyond all reason for dropping that kinda cash. while i spend 1/4 of it and scare the hell out of him.

Far a shifting goes ya going to need practise.

Yes most of my parts are not power adders as Im trying to keep in line with the end goal(turbo) but still make more power by getting it down more efficiently and being able to use it with better shifting characteristic's. right now car shifts like a turd under WOT

Exhaust- minimum full header back system

Why would you do phaser deletes with factory cams.


Well I may be off in left field here..But

Less mass on any engine compenent requires less power to turn. urgo freeing up rotational mass will free up horsepower ....not gain,,but free.

Similar to using drag lite wheels, or carbon fiber driveshaft, or lightweight highstrangth C-rods, or lots of other stuff guys change out because its lighter and lets stuff spin faster....

That's my thought... but like I said maybe in left field or possibly bleachers

Challenger has the 392. Those cars trap low teens BONE STOCK. Adding to this is a blower said to give 650 horsepower.

Even with 2 boss intake mani's you will get butt raped and there is nothing you can do about it. 3 of them, however, might get you to where you need to be.


N/A aint gonna happen dude. Just my worthless $.02.

The only reason to delete the phasers are if you are going full retard(like 1200+ hp) or if you have a set of very very aggressive cams that aren't safe to use with the VCT(Over 520rwhp naturally aspirated). You will loose a lot of power down low and all over really by deleting phasers. If you have huge cams then you can in a way make up for it because you can gain a lot of high end high hp with the aggressive cam. Otherwise the small amount of weight you would save and hp you would gain, would in no way make up for all the hp you would loose from deleting VCT.

That guy with 515rwhp has roughly $3K in just camshafts and Cobra Jet parts. That's basically the cash for the On3 kit. I have the Cobra Jet setup and it wasn't cheap. You'll have a hard time beating him N/A.

You could do a Nitrous setup with turbos on the factory block. It all depends on how much Nitrous and boost you are using. My buddy uses a 50 shot to cool the intake charge.

Anyways, depending on your funds, I'd just not worry about other parts and order an On3 kit, seeing as that's your end goal.

If you want to beat him for pennies, I still suggest tires/tune and a 150 shot.

So could you post a meme that would explain what you would do to my car to have that not happen..... I came here for advice on what to add not stating the car will beat him as it sits.

I also asked for your advice to keep in mind the end goal of an ON3 kit. So the mods would have to not effect that.
