What do you legitimately think this car is worth? If the car didn't have all of the ugly paint work, the wing that will require holes to be filled on the body, and didn't require a wrap, I'd say it's a $30k car with the high mileage and the undesirable color.

But, considering it will need a few thousand dollars worth of work to be able to be driven in public again, what do you really think it's worth? $27-28k?

You can probably get away with putting a proper spoiler in place of that one without having to fill any holes as it will cover the holes from the POS on there now. The stripe is ugly IMO. Other than that, nothing even close to too far gone. It's worth close to the asking $ IMO.

People can't give away normal yellow ones with less miles without all the bullshit on it, that's why I feel it's not worth near that asking price. $32k gets you a yellow car with 40k on it from what I've been seeing.

And there shouldn't be any added wing on a C6Z, so the holes HAVE to be filled lol.

Some people like yellow, some people do not. Just like some people love my orange & some do not. Looks are subjective. If you can get a 40k mi one in good shape for $32k, buy 2 of them NOW!!
I don't like the C6 in white, but that doesn't make it worth any less just because I said so.

Anyone who doesn't like the atomic orange is off their rocker! But yeah, look around...yellow ones don't move, and I'm sure it'll get worse as it gets colder. I would only buy a yellow one for a really good price, because I'd have to have it wrapped immediately and find some black headlights.

You know, i am a person that believes every car looks better with a proper spoiler, but that is just .... no. I also love the chrome grille that clearly doesnt fit or line up at all.

Reading the first post in this thread I thought I was gonna click on that link and see a monstrosity ... I didn't

I saw a yellow Corvette and a somewhat ugly spoiler and a questionable-color stripe.

Both of those things can be changed, and it's certainly not a good enough reason to offer $5k below the asking sale price on a car.

Book on the car is only $29,500...we're not talking about asking price, we're talking about what it's actually worth.

And yeah, sure, both can be changed...but with a pretty significant cost, which would make it a high mileage car with more money in it than one that's never had to have any paintwork.

We'll see...it's been listed for a few months now, and that's because the market determines what a car is worth. It's quite obviously not worth $32k.

Tacky? What do you expect from Florida? lol

Anyway, KBB says $27,800 for private party in very good condition, and $29,500 for excellent. Because of the sad state its in, I would ask $28k.

Nope.

$26k max. Car needs $2500-3k worth of wrap and body filler for the trunk holes.

$2.5 - $3k in paint and body work?! hahaha are taking it to a dealership body shop? more like $800 - $900 using Valspar paint, 5 star clear coat and reducer after bondo-ing up the spoiler holes.

Not to remove that painted stripe and respray the yellow to blend then clear.
If you can get all that done for 8-900 I'll be shipping a car out that way to have the rear bumper resprayed as your shop should be able to do it for 1-200 since mine quoted $600

This. Paint is far from being cheap these days. Looked at a car awhile ago that had clear fade on the hood, roof, trunk, and rear bumper. I figured $2k tops in paint until I called 5 shops. All said $3500-$5000 to redo the clear. Was told the general rule of thumb now is $500 per panel (to start) if it doesn't need a lot of prep.

car is worth 25,000
- repairs
- my time dealing with this mess.
I couldn't pay over $15,000 for it without knowing an exact repair cost. Too many other nice cars out there to even look at this one.

I said wrap, not touch-up.... The whole car needs to be wrapped to remove that atrocious color lol.

Yellow is hard to sell for the Z06. The mileage also plays a huge factor in the resell price, so I agree with you: offer $27k and give your reasons. The good news is most of the 'mods' are some Pep-Boy's specials that can be easily removed. That orange stripe is something else though...yuck.
