**If you haven't watched all of it yet and are worried about 'spoilers', I wouldn't read any further**

Just wondering how many people on here have banged out the whole 10 hours since it was released last week, and would like to hear some people's thoughts.

Considering the fact that we have lots of active LEO and I believe some attorneys, I figured this discussion would've popped up by now.

I have to say, throughout it my thoughts on Avery's guilt or innocence waned multiple times and I've been doing lots of reading on other outlets and dabbling on reddit forums.

It's obviously a hard pill to swallow that LEOs could have planted evidence (and there was quite clearly substantial motive to do so), but there are so many holes and lots of doubt cast in my mind.

So, do you think he's guilty or innocent?

He's guilty. Dude is a sociopath of the highest order. In the 1st episode they talk about that he threw a cat over a fire, "being a dumb kid." Well turns out he doused the cat in oil and lit it on fire. There's other rumors of him nailing live cats to trees. He got cocky with all the attention he was receiving. The WI Innocence Project left their posterchild behind even though he claims he didn't do the crime. I've got more to watch but overall its clear to me there is a strong agenda with it.

It's great TV, not the truth.

Just watched the first 2 episodes tonight, excellent so far and I'll watch the rest in the next couple days.

I know that the documentary is making him look like an innocent victim and while he was certainly innocent of the original crime, he is clearly a disturbed individual.

Also, prosecutor Ken Kratz seems like a total creep from his evil smile to his high pitched voice. No surprise his law license was revoked and he was pushed to resign from his job as DA of Calumet County.

I've been unfairly targeted myself by a county DA so I'm not surprised that a county government would be as corrupt as shown in the documentary. Besides the obvious "blue wall of silence" among LEO's, government in rural areas is often a "good ole boys" club that looks out for each other.

I watched it all. One of the best series I have ever seen.

Innocent is a tough word imo, but I don't think he killed that chick and he 100% shouldn't have gone to prison based upon that bullshit case. Reasonable doubt? I think that was more than achieved.

I have worked alongside some cops that are more than capable to plant evidence and more. I have also worked alongside some real heroes. Those case was nothing more than a witch hunt and I think the corruption in the sheriff's office was proven on more than 1 occasion. The obstructionism from the rest of the legal system just made things worse.

That kid was hosed big time as well.

I know he burned the cat, which is awful, but when he robbed the store he stole a cheese sandwich? I wonder what his record in prison was like, ie if he fought and the like?

We are half way through the fourth episode. I don't know what to think at this point, very intereting though.

**SPOILER** Black text, highlight to reveal, unless you are on white background, you're ****ed.

There were just a lot of things left unanswered.

The whole EX boyfriend of the missing girl, deleting messages, etc. It seemed really weird to me but they didn't really focus on that too much. The whole case was quite bizarre and some of the things seemed logical and some of them just seemed a bit too far fetched. The whole thing about putting the body in the SUV only to move it to the back of the house was really interesting. Unless they were lazy as **** I don't see why they would have done that. The fact that they found some bones quite a ways from the house that matched up to what they found inside the burn pit and barrel was kind of weird as well.

They also didn't seem to get too much into the vial of blood that was obviously tampered with. I know they eventually had the FBI claim that there was no traces of the preservative on the blood found in the vehicle but WHY was the sample opened, and tapped into with a syringe? The fact that the county that wasn't supposed to be involved ended up having A LOT of presence at the crime scene is pretty questionable too. I honestly feel that, while it's hard to say if he did it or not. It just seemed there would have been enough stuff in the case to at least cause a miss trial. Or the juror who just had to end up leaving the night of the verdict and to be replaced...

I don't know. I know documentaries only swing one way, and are biased towards one party, this one towards Steven Avery, so maybe there was more too the case that they didn't include that would make him seem more guilty?

I can't get past the blood tube in evidence that was opened with a needle hole in it.But I blame the lawyer that filed the 36 million dollar civil suit most.He should have loaned him a 100k and made him get out of dodge until the law suit was settled.

After watching everything about the cousin, I can't believe with his mental capacity that any of this flew.
I'm still not convinced that Steven didn't do it. His response through phone calls and interviews about his cousin and the confession bother me the most. There is no change of tone, remorse, no defense, or concern about a borderline mentally retarded family members well being.

Ya man. It was sad watching and listening to that kid. I'm almost willing to bet he was born from incest. But the way they treated him in that case was horrible. They exploited and used him. His own lawyer was trying to damage him which was really weird. He was basically a little child being told what to say and do. Like when the investigator was having him write and draw things. It was real sad when he asked his mom if he was going to be able to come home to watch Wrestle Mania.

I'm hooked after watching three episode last night. I feel bad for the cousin like WireEater said. He was basically being manipulated and controlled. They were basically taking control of his mental capacity.

This was one of my first thoughts watching the first couple episodes....there's gotta be some inbreeding goin on here. I've got a lot left to watch, but so far I'm not convinced either way of him doing it or not doing it, but there seems to be A LOT of shady shit going on with the county law enforcement

2 more episodes to go for me and this show is crazy. I know the documentary is one sided to make Avery look innocent, but even if he did in fact kill Teresa Halbach, the amount of crooked behavior by the prosecution and law enforcement should see them behind bars as well. It is unfathomable that the same agency/officers who railroaded Avery in 1985 weren't removed from their positions, in fact they were promoted to Sheriff/Undersheriff (and yet somehow still deny that Avery was innocent of the 1985 crime). Then the same department that was supposed to be nowhere near the Avery residence, conveniently found crucial pieces of evidence (including the key even though the room had been searched by 3 other LE agencies) and somehow Sgt. Colburn called in the license plate number of Halbach's car 2 days before the car was discovered in the Avery salvage yard. Shouldn't he have already known the license plate number of the car considering it could be key evidence in her disappearance, or was he looking at the license plate at that moment and needed to know who it was registered to???

Don't even get me start on the EDTA testing. If there were 6 blood swabs from the car, why in the hell didn't they test all 6 blood swabs for the presence of EDTA? This shit is mind boggling.

And that poor kid, he was coerced into confessing. Even in the conversation with his mom, she asked why he said it and he responded "they go in my head and made me say it" and he said it because he was real dumb and guessing. Amazing that his "confession" could even be used considering it included stabbing/slitting the throat of a woman in a bedroom and yet NO BLOOD WAS FOUND there.

Not that there wasn't no blood found, there was NO DNA found ANYWHERE in the trailer. This was the place where she was supposed to have been cuffed to the bed and tied using rope, beat, raped, stabbed all of which would leave back some sort of fibers. There is no way this guy went Dexter and masked the whole trailer in plastic before committing rape and murder. Then she was supposed to have been shot in the head, etc. They find empty 22 casings in the garage and that's it. Then months later they go BACK in and magically find one bullet. Yet they still find no DNA splatter in that messy ass garage. They even jack hammered up the flooring where there were cracks hoping blood would have seeped down, and found nothing.

But on the other hand, I go, if there were going to the lengths of framing them. Why didn't they just put some sort of DNA in these areas as well if they planted them into the car, etc? Maybe they didn't think it through all the way, or they just didn't have enough to do it all. Or maybe they didn't have her DNA to spread around because she was killed and disposed of in a quick panic by someone else... then they did their best to place the crime at his place with what they had. It's all odd as hell. That's why it's such a good documentary.

I mean, no DNA, none... that's quite bizarre. There was also NO DNA found in the car other than the blood and the fact that the car key contained NO DNA other than Steven Avery. Nasty ass car keys, with fabric chains that contain NO DNA from the woman, or other things I find quite impossible. As they said, they scrubbed that key with chemicals before placing his DNA on it and dropping it on the floor.

That's what I still don't get about this case. There were so many things that made absolutely no sense and very suspicious but were just looked past. Like I said, either there was a lot more to this case that we were not showed/told on the documentary, or there are some extremely crooked ass people out there.

How any juror could possible come back with a guilty verdict after all of that makes me think there was some juror tampering going on too. Proven beyond a shadow of a doubt, right guys?
