Hey guys,

About to pick up a 13 focus st and it has the ford racing kit with the filter plugs catback and tune. Do i need the procal itself to add an intercooler and downpipe, so i want to know if i need it to tune in the future.

The owner wants $100 for it.

I run the FRPP tune with a Mountune intercooler. I didn't have to retune for the intercooler.

Not sure why the previous owner would keep the procal. Except for reading codes, it's pretty much bricked once you install it in a car.

I run the FPP tune with a Mountune intercooler (see install here) and it works great. You might occassionally throw a code for no Active Grille Shutters, but you can clear that with the ProCal. :)

awesome that is what I am planning on doing and then doing custom tune with downpipe since as far as I know you need to be tuned for it.

I have a Steeda/Magnaflow high-flow-cat downpipe on mine and it seems to work fine with FPP cal. Again, I will occasionally see a code for cat efficiency, but it’s easily cleared.

You can disconnect the shutter motor from the shutter assembly. Then plug the motor in and place the motor up near the fuse box/battery.
