Preorder at MSRP

Im in Dallas, most dealers here want $5k to $10k over msrp. The truck just isnt worth that to me, no offense to those of you that can afford to pay extra.

I have seen on several forums people ordering for msrp or sticker. Anyone know a specific dealer where I can place an order for the exact truck I want without market adjustment (Adm)? Any help would be appreciated.

I have to sell my 2014 GT500 to purchase a Raptor. And probably my 2005 4x4 Explorer as well. I needed a 4x4 because the GT500 is a garage queen and I need something to hunt in.

Man, you just have to call around and play the numbers game. I'm being serious. Email all the dealerships in your area and then start working your way out to further areas.

Guys I would really appreciate some help. I am getting frustrated. A few of you claim to have ordered a 2017 Raptor at msrp. Im sure that is true. Some of you seem to have found these dealers with ease. Can you list or PM me dealerships that are open to discussing msrp?

I have contacted 12 dealers in Texas and Oklahoma. The best I have gotten is $2500 over. These dealers have tons of allocations. Grapevine Ford wants $15,000 over. I lost it on that guy because they are trying to take advantage of people, free market or not. Some want $10,000. Most want $5000. One offered me a 2016 Ford Focus.

While typing this just got another call from a dealet in Oklahoma. $10,000 over msrp.

If you know a dealer at msrp please send it my way. Im putting in the work and I will continue. But seems like 99 percent of dealerships want adm. Since I need fair trade on my Gt500 having 2-3 msrp dealers would be nice so that I can negotiate my trade.

Found a dealer in Houston at msrp. But they have no allocations left. They think Ford will still fullfill my order.

Westway Ford at $2500 is pricing out my trade right now. I really hope I can find more offers for msrp.

You could PM 13COBRA and see if he is willing to cut you a deal like that.

Can't blame the dealers for people being willing to shell out free money to be first with a new car.

Agreed. The 'gotta have it first' people have no business complaining about paying markup.

Damned free market.

Seriously though, keep at it. And don't give in. If you have to wait a few months more I'm sure you'll get one then. The "gotta have it first" crowd always does this to the market. Just look at the GT350. They were selling for $25k over MSRP for a while after they first came out. Why? Because people were "stupid" enough to pay it.

Unfortunately I don't have any more allocations to order.

Exactly.

I ordered mine from Helfman Ford in Stafford at msrp. Ask for Bill Crissman in fleet sales.

I haven't gotten a build date yet, but since I'm out of the country until early next year I'm really not worried about it just yet. lol

Available Raptors starting to appear at dealerships in Southern Maryland. ADM's are in the $5-$10k range as others have indicated. I was able to test drive one on 1/3/17. It was sold on 1/5/17 with a $5k markup. Have a built-up a friendly relationship with the Sales Manager over several years of buying vehicles from him but he isn't budging off of the $5k. Another dealer had a $10k markup and offered to come down to $5k but no further. Can't blame them if people are willing to pay the markups. I'll wait and hope the initial feeding frenzy settles down over time.

The crazy thing is, these will hold the ADM longer than the G350s did/have.

Raptors are much more "practical" and can be daily driven by just about anyone. The demand will always outnumber the supply. With dealers have a limited allocation, most are sold before they are even ordered.

6 have sold in Kansas City for $10k+ over. I sold mine out of state to another dealer for $5 or 6k over. The market on them is extremely aggressive and will be a while until it comes down. I imagine until Ford announces an extended 2 or 3 year run on them, dealers will be able to charge what they want and will move them.
