Mineral Gray owners: do you know the exact spelling of the paint color like it appears on the original window stickers? For example is it Mineral Gray Metallic Clearcoat? Or Gray spelled with an "e" (Grey)? I need exact spelling as it appears including abbreviations if there are any. Thanks in advance.

Look at code on your driver side door, should be TK I think and there's about 15 variations of the color. Same color as mine. What are you wanting to do?

I don't actually own one. I'm building a reproduction window sticker for someone who does. That's why I need exact spelling and such.

Interesting stuff, do you have a link that talks about the variations?

I don't, but I had to repaint my hood years ago. When I went into the paint store they had a whole loop of mineral grey color swatches. We ended up scanning the gas lid and mixed the paint from that. Here's a picture of the hood after I painted it. Pretty damn close.

Even though the SVT production numbers chart lists the paint colors as a "...Gray", it is "...Grey" on the window stickers for some reason.

So you have a MG window sticker?

I'll double check when I get home, but I'm almost positive the shadow gray on the window stickers is spelled with an "a". I have a few of them as samples.

I looked at Frank's sticker that he put in the latest version of IF,LF. His is DSG, with the "..Grey". I'm fairly positive it is the same with MG - from seeing them in the past and noticing the anomaly in the spelling and thinking it was weird.

What is "IF,LF"?
