I called MM after making a post on the New edge forums. I think his name was John over at MM's. He told me some guy can't remember his name is running a 03-04 cobra with the MM bushing kit, h+r race springs and Tokico D's up front and out back.

I guess this guy down in Florida (I believe) is running 8-9's with the IRS. The Tokico D's are whats putting him there that and the new G-force axles. They're supposedly off set weighted to counter the hop. I guess he's tried Strange, Viking some others and it took MM to talk him into the Tokico D's and he's never looked back I guess......

I spoke with MM at the 50th anniversary show and something they recommended was raising the front cradle mount. I guess they had good luck with redrilling the holes and raising the mounts. I never looked into what needs to be done for that to happen. But I did wonder if the same thing can be accomplished by lowering the rear mounts.

I wonder if that's what Kenny Brown does. After I made that post in which you responded I started calling around too the companies, to get an idea what parts to actually use from what you guys suggested. Ive never used the IRS for what I am doing so this is where I am at a loss.

Rich at Kenny Brown quoted me 1K for the carrier modification for the IRS with the rear hard mount setup. I'm not too sure what this actually does and how it will actually helps. I'm trying to get a little more info on it he hasn't responded.

I've been possessed with this IRS crap. I get goofy researching and asking around when I don't know about something. I don't just like too pull the trigger and order crap.

It is amazing how much more you can get the rear to squat , by removing the front sway bar or just the end links .
I found a set of detachable end links from a 4x4 supply place for my car .
Takes like a minute to go from street to race and back again is the same .

I've heard of people doing that with the sway bar end links. Have you tried driving on the street and see how it affects cornering since you can quickly connect / disconnect and take the came corners over?

I have driven the same corners with out the bar connected , and really is not a ton of difference.
My belief is , the rear bar is still in place , and it is the rear of the car that is trying to roll (body lean) , so you don't really get any bad results .

I'm pretty excited to see how the softer vert coils respond along with some adjustable rear shocks.

Subin in. Same issue, melting the tires off and squatting a lot, looking for better traction through less squatting and after reading this it seems coilovers from MM may not be the answer after all. Have you guys tried or used air bags in the springs in the rear. I'm starting to think about just getting better springs and adjustable shocks

while there are SA drag shocks, I really wanted to fiddle with different compression and rebound settings, hence I went DA coil-overs all the way round... even with h&r race springs, my car squatted fine but then it would rebound too fast, unloading the rear tires and just spinning... with the h&r race and Viking B225s... better, but I really wanted to be able to play around with spring rates as well, so went coil-over... currently my coil-overs in the back have the same effective spring rate as the h&r race springs... I think come spring I may try a softer spring...

If your car is irs you want it to squat and stay squatted.

If you guys have any questions regarding suspension set-ups, let me know. As some of you have mentioned, I can get you guys hooked up with coilovers and/or Viking DA's. I'd be happy to help out.
