It's been awhile but I wanted to inform you guys that I'm now testing the Quick 6 controller. We've had a few hiccups as expected. It's mainly been my converter. The original programming was setup for a stock converter. My Circle D takes a lot less pressure to engage so we had to tame that down. It also caused a issue with the 1-2 shift. The good news is Karl at US shift knows why and believes he has a fix for this already. Hopefully in the next day or so I'll know if it works. We've been working on it everyday since I got it. They have been really good to deal with. It took me a few days to get it going the way I wanted (still got plenty to do), but I'm really enjoying it !!! Here's a quick picture of my shifter (11 shifter/13-14 handle). Its temporary until I buy a new console top.

Do you have any idea when they with start selling this to people?

I know they got behind their original schedule, but as long as their other testers are having good luck I think it would be soon. I think things worked out good with my car having the aftermarket converter. They really needed that info so they could add that selection to the settings menu. Karl knew what was wrong right off the bat. It took him 2 trys with my logs to line it out. My car drives great now. I'll be doing some harder acceleration runs later this week (rain moving in). I can't go all out yet as I held off on my dyno appointment until after this trans was installed and working. Unfortunately that will probably be after the release, but we'll see.
Thanks Mike

I dont have a GT500 but there is no talk in the terminator section about doing a 6R80 swap. what are the benefits of the 6R over the 4R70w?

Most guys with the 4R70 use a manual valve body, although some do use the usshift controller. The benefit is having a 6 speed automatic transmission that can handle ALL the power in "D". Turbo guys will be loving this setup.

Well then biggest benefit is that this thing is putting cars in the 9s stock. Can't do that with a 4r70w and 2 extra gears.

What sucks is this controller is supposedly has a horsepower limitation. I contacted them about the controller and was told no way it can control an 1100 hp car. I was really disappointed to hear. I hate using the 5.0 computer

I talked with Karl again on this and the trans will be the limit. The clutch/shift learning process is what makes the difference. I just wanted to make sure this corrected.

Thanks Mike

Interesting. I see they make a stand alone computer now for the 6R. I wonder how hard the swap would be for an 03 cobra

To clarify, no HP limit on the controller, just trans hard parts?
I still think the big power guys will love the leave in 2nd option. Can use 1-6 during street and 2-5 on the strip.
My tuner (Lidio at Alternative Auto in MI) has a great relationship with Carl and the 6R, we hoping for great things with this controller. My good friend already going 9.20s in a 5.0/TVS/6R '12 GT, trans and converter all stock with Lidio tune.

Correct, no HP limit with the controller. Lidio was the guy that tuned my car back in 2005. I bought my X cal and converter from him for my 5R55. Boy that's been ages ago. He's very knowledgeable and a nice guy.

lol.....been running a 6r80 now for almost 2 years.....all good my man

Does anyone have any experience with a street car, at relatively stock power levels?

This would make for a nice driver as I get older and my knees give up. And a 662 hp 3900 lb ride should go high tens/low elevens with traction and less drama than its manual counterpart.

Any experience in SVT land?

Thx.
