Whoah! That's a lot for a cobra with that many miles. When was that? For starters, that sucks a huge one man, I'll burn some rubber for you.
Secondly this just happened to me, so before you jump the gun and say you want to buy it back and part it out...find out the salvage value. I had progressive and they valued my 113k mile Silver Metallic 03 car at 22.6k. the salvage value was $9700. If i did a buy back, they were going to take that value out of the total loss payout, and give me the rest. Now I had some left over financing so some cash also had to goto that. My part out value was around 6k so it would have been a loss. I also had some one-off parts on my car but in the end it just made more sense to let them give me a cash value instead of taking a huge salvage value deduction and selling it for less, which includes the hassle of parting it out.
Wow, shocked! Certainly a good call on the AV policy. One of the first things I did when I got my CO vert from Cool Cobra on here. I showed next to your car about 10 years ago at VIR when its owner was in Graham, NC. Truly an immaculate build and a loss for sure. I hope medically that you don't have lingering issues that was a solid shot.I had an agreed value policy through Grundy worldwide on it so I'm going to be okay there. They valued it at $9k for buy back so I think I'm going to go ahead and do it. Should be able to get close to that for a 19k mile motor, harnesses, and trans I would think. Then the rest is extra. Every piece of the interior is custom. The plastic was even covered in leather with orange stitching.

Nice to hear your insurance experience has been good. My policy is with Hagerty and I pray I don't need it but glad it's there. I met Mark a time or two but didn't know him well. I'm sure word will get out on the CO Facebook group eventually and you'll hear from lots of others too. Hopefully you're not out of work, or at least not long term.Yea, Grundy aka Philadelphia Indemnity has been great and easy to work with. Mark was the one who did all the mods... I told him first. Big loss for sure. Medically... Kinda sucks, especially since I am a martial arts instructor. Let's just say I'm talking to a lawyer tomorrow.

That girl deserves some time behind bars, to me that is a hate crime! It was such a pretty car.
OP, There is a new Shelby out there with your name on it.
