I finally got GTA V for PC and holy hell wow the graphics are super nice. I'm still rocking a GTX 970 and play at 2560x1440 with settings close to maxed out and ran MSI afterburner.
Game runs at a steady 59-62fps.
Using about 3400mb of GPU ram and fluctuating at 9000mb of memory. Good thing I'm rocking 12gb, but might by a matching speed/voltage 4gb stick.

I can only imagine running the game at 4k with a 1080ti. If only AMD would hurry its ass up and bring some competition to bring the price down!

Snuck into the airport and was flying a jet around, REALLY nice flying around at night.

Finally built a custom loop for my GPU, got tired of using the G10 bracket, was causing too much card sag, the founders edition 1080ti is much happier now that it doesn't go above 43c! This was my first custom loop, I made the hose from the pump to the radiator too long, next time I will be taking more time to make it look better.

I love the WWII stuff. I'll buy it even if the game ends up flopping in hopes that it's their most popular title since going the retarded advanced warfare route.

I did not even know this thread was a thing. I just finished my build last month.

-Asus Maximus ROG Hero IX
-I7 7700k
-Dual GeForce GTX 1080
-32GB RAM
-SSD

I don't think it will ever see any games, but I use it to trade stocks.

I'd like to get a nice 27"-30" 4k monitor this year. I dont know if I should run a second card via SLI or just buy one better card. The 1080's are insane in price. What's my best option to run 4k? a second 970 or one single better card?

My set up is:
w10 home 64bit
crucial ballisctix sport 16gm ram ddr4 1600 mt/s
msi geforce 4gb 256-bit gddr5 video card
asus m5a99fx pro r.20 am3+ amd 99fx sata 6gb/s usb 3.0 etc mother board
Western Digital 1tb sata 6gb/s 7200 hard drive
sabrent 74-in-1 3.5" internal flash media card reader/writer
LG electronics 14x internal BDXL blu-ray burner rewriter
nexus rx-1.1k 1100 wat 80 plus inaudible 15db power supply
nanoxia deep silence 1 mid tower case
creative sound blaster Zx PCIe gaming sound card
AMD FD8320FRHKBOX FX-8320 FX series 8 core black edition

I would suggest upgrading your CPU first, yes at 4k you wont notice as much of a bottleneck from that cpu, but it will still be very present.

I'm running a H60 single rad on my new 1080 ti and it doesn't go above 38 after 4 hour stress, is it just generally hotter where you are?

Hey guys, what's the best way to sell high performance gaming PCs besides the local Facebook marketplace and Craigslist? Looking to unload both of my rigs and all peripherals to put toward some mods.

Are you using a full water block or just using a CLC to cool the GPU dye? The full waterblocks will run warmer becaues it cools the entire card, not just the GPU dye.

Single CPU CLC, I found it much easier to swap and test new Processors and GPU's that way but I did have a full loop on it a month before I swapped my Titan out and its running the same range. I didn't think about it until about 10 mins ago but I am running a single CLC with an modified 1080 case over the ti utilizing a reference blower as well to help it act as the full loop did just as a trial and error deal, works great heh and really low maintenance.

I had a G10 along with an H105 and my 1080 never went above 36c. I figured that the extra heat from the VRMs were causing the little bit higher temp, I have a thermal gun that I might shoot everything with to make sure it is all flowing correctly, I also used the thermal paste that EK supplied, wish I would have used my MX-5
