Blown Stingray skull ****ed me this morning.

I was passing through Mexico on my way to work this morning when a yellow Stingray with temp tags still on it rolls up next to me and starts playing around a bit to get my attention. I'm stock so I knew that I'd most likely lose unless it was a manual and a terrible driver. Long story short, 40 mph roll, we take off, and I hear a blower scream as loud as any Cobra I've ever encountered. I gave up before I even shifted to the next gear. Put aircraft carriers on me. I think he hit 160 mph before I hit 80. And yes, it was a Stingray. So unless this guy bought a Z06 and told the dealership to make it look like a Stingray, which would be stupid and worthy of a backhand, he bought a Stingray and had a blower installed within the first month. **** that guy. In fact, if you have that kind of money, you can just eat my dick.

Jesus....CHRIST I've never been beaten like that....

i see plenty of people driving around with dealer plates on loooong after they've bought their cars.

When I had my 03 I didn't race often but I only lost one race in it to vette with dealer tags on it.

They are quick cars with a s/c. I know someone who had one with a Novi 1500 Pump gas making around 700. Easy 10 sec car stock motor and all with pump/meth injection.

I can still remember taking a beating like that 20yrs ago in my modded 1st gen AWD Eclipse that I *thought* was fast. I ****ed with the wrong 60's Camaro. I swear the damn thing almost pulled the wheels from a 30 roll. Bus lengths before I even wound out second. I just let off and gave up. It was actually worse than what happened to you because I was the instigator.

There is no shame in being beaten by a faster car. Vette's respond well to boost. My C6 gained 200HP in the usable range from 6lbs of boost from a D1SC. Even at idle, the blower is unmistakable. They also tend to squat and go with very little drama or driver skill required.

With just the Procharger at low boost, a Stingray is at 600RWHP (there was one fresh from the dealership getting dyno'd when I was picking up my car at the speed shop, he put down 599HP on a safe tune).

If he added a cam and meth (my next mods), you are doubly screwed. That would put him around 650-750HP.

I wonder if it had an ECS set-up on it? (A lot of the Corvette Stingray guys use East Coast Superchargers for boost.) Could of been a ProCharger as well.
Both make for some quick Vettes and some serious power/torque.
