Multiple attempts at this thread... No, I am NOT a robot! (Forum gets hung-up on follow on screen).

I have this info in My New Toy thread, but I figured it should be a standalone thread so people can find it.

My car is 1 of 5 "Canadian" 2000 Cobra R's. I put Canadian in quotes, because these 5 were no different than the others. They did not have daytime running lights or speedos in kph and therefore were not street legal in Canada. They were considered "For Competition Use Only."

One paperwork difference my car has is the window sticker is 1/2 English and 1/2 French. There was a big stack of paperwork with my car including this sheet which applies to this thread:

This is also on the door jam:

And a 2007 Shelby GT500 I bought new 09/06 with 90km. Drove it 3 times.

Ironically, I am in Winnipeg as I type, but leaving shortly. Is your 00R one of the 5 listed on my paperwork above?

2 of those are with Brown Brothers. One was converted into a wicked race car that is covered in many threads in this forum. They also had a street version that stayed 100% stock and went into storage.

Loved these cars when they came out. I'm Canadian but I didn't get one of the 5 shipped up here so I created a tribute with my 2001 True Blue GT back in 2001/2002. Shocked to read that there is a real one in Winnipeg. Would love to see it! I haven't had this car since 2003ish btw. Out of all my Mustangs, this one received the most attention.

Thanks man! I would have killed for a real one back in the day, so this was the next best thing. I remember searching around for the factory front splitter. I didn't want the one piece from cervinni's. Believe it or not, the best price I found was ordering it through Canadian Tire lol. If I remember correctly, I paid about $700 or so. The body shop I brought it to, to be painted, looked at me like I was crazy when I dropped it off. They had no clue what it was. It looked like a floppy piece of plastic lol. I promised to bring the car by when it was installed. They were blown away by the car. I even bought the oem ford Cobra R wheels. $5000 with rubber if I recall correctly. Still feel they are some of the nicest wheels to come on a Mustang. 18's back in 2001 were HUGE lol. Would love to see michaelms car one day, as he is in Winnipeg.

Personally, I find Cobra badges on a GT a bit "ricey" unless it had a 4V swap, but that aside I REALLY like the look of that GT. Great work.

Thanks man! My custom plate read F8KSN8K (fake snake). Just to make sure it wasn't too ricey (a term not yet used back in 2001 when I did this car). *Not on the car yet, at this point.

Do you own 95R #26? I use to have that car, and I can give you the Illinois plate if you want. SVT R 26

Very kind gesture. I have chassis #24 and it was professionally raced in IMSA as #26. Are you talking about the paper plate?

No, I have the custom Illinois plate. SVT R 26.

I just think things like that should be with the car if the current owner wanted it. Gives a little more history to it. I still have #214 and just got a new set of NT 05s yesterday so I can street it a little.

That looks really cool in Blue. There are definitely some nice tribute cars out there. One of my favorites was a white one that someone did and posted pics of. Car looked great.

I have had my 00R #15 since 2007 in Winnipeg.

I bought it 07/07/07

Is it one of the five VINs listed above and does it have the "for competition only" sticker in the door jam?
