In the last 2 yrs we have seen a test car that the people believe may be a Mach1 based on the hood, and a poster in a video hinting at a new Bullitt.

Do we have any reason either of these will show up for 2018? or perhaps '19?

Of the 2, I'd rather see a Bullitt. Its cleaner in design. Highland green is a nice color.

I'm mixed. I love DHG to death, but over all the Bullitt to me feels like a GT with just some Ford Performance packages. The Mach1 was a NA terminator with a GT tranny.

Mach 1 would be nice. Maybe a 5.2L cross plane? A little extra pep in the step over a 5.0 GT

I was talking about the looks of it.

Who says ford has to do the same thing? They were testing the 5.4 n/a in the 08 bullitt before it got nixed.
480hp bullitt would be sweet.
I wish thats what they would have done. I had on 09 bullitt and loved it, but it would have been great with the 5.4. I read they thought it would be to heavy. I would have taken the extra weight in a heart beat.

Since Guard is gone (leaving a vacancy for another shade of green) and we've already seen photo evidence that Ford was at least thinking about it, I'd say a Bullitt model is more likely.

I've never really been a fan of either one of them. And I think I'm the only person in the world who can't stand that God Awful Green (GAG) used on the Bullitt Mustangs. Dark green on a car is even more depressing than beige.

I don't see the point of the Bullitt. Wheeeee, no grille or trunk badge and it's green. We already have a minor appearance package in the California Special. Don't need another one.

A Mach 1 could be fine if it has real power upgrades over the GT. Most premium interior options available, and the magnetic suspension.

But honestly, both are completely 100% pointless and I hope Ford doesn't waste one dime on either. There is a good GT. GT with the performance pack. The GT350 with the heated/cooled seats. And a more hardcore GT350R. The Mach 1 has no real place to fill. The 03 Mach 1 was a GT with a bespoke motor, suspension upgrades, and a premium interior. That sounds just like the GT350 to me. Spend any money and time even thinking about more appearance package cars on the GT500.

Wait.. wut

The GT350 is just a bespoke motor, suspension upgrades, and premium interior? o_O

If that's the case, then your boss is the equivalent of bullitt because it still ran a coyote based drivetrain. Given how much engineering went into the chassis and suspension, as well as the motor and transmission, for the GT350's, I'd say it's more than just a "little bit" of work done to a stock GT. I'd call that a total overhaul. Especially when you consider the car is legitimately wider and aerodynamic.
