Looks like it will rain you out. If not, the track will be a slipping slide due to heavy rain all week. I say you will do good to run 8.8 due to track issues. 20psi of air, decent burnout, slip the clutch around 2,000rpms and let the gears work for you. At that point pray to the track Gods for traction.

I think you will run the fastest , followed by the Camaro, and then the Charger. With a 4.56 gear and a DR out back you will kill them off the line. I ran the same tire on my Cobra for my street set up and at the track I could cut low 1.7 60s consistently.

You better get a good launch because I think both cars will reel you in on the big end. Good thing you are only running 1/8 mile, because the other cars will trap more on the big end. Make sure to post up your results.

You guys are nuts, with those gears, in the 1/8th, he is going to freight train these tards.

Normally I'd agree, but the gears could also be the death of him. Because spinning.

Good luck for next week OP. Wish I could make it.

Why you gotta be so negative? Well maybe mother nature will behave next week.
Cause I'm ready for us to settle this.

I think track prep will play the largest role in the races. More so for you than them though. Get a solo practice run in. If you want to sandbag some, let off the throttle after the 60' (when you shift into 2nd) or let off altogether and coast the rest of the way. Race will be over by then anyways honestly. You don't have much to fear.

All depends on his driving skills. Anything is possible when that 3rd pedal is involved and without knowing his driving skills I'd never put money on him as the winner.

Not gonna sit here and say I am a expert, but I am not new to the track or the cobra when it comes to how to drive them. This is my fourth one and second to be modded. Driving the car I am not worried about.

I have faith in YOU, but the track is a different story. Lol

I've never been to Piedmont so I don't know how their prep is. Good luck regardless!

As long as you can do what you need you shouldn't have a problem.

I'm going with you will put a hurting on the mopar and be close with the camaro. My bullitt when it was stock ran 8.8 something and a 13.7 1/4would expect with your mods it would be a high 12 second car with the gears

Well guys the Mopar and me made it to the track tonight. My best time was [email protected] mph. Car is definitely a 8.6 car once I get a better clutch, and have the comfort of another ride.

Did see a Camaro there maybe a 2012. Have vents in the hood. It ran a 9.2 back to back.
