I couldnt care less. Ford ruined the mustang for me with that abomination they call the S550.

Lol is right, it's light years better looking than the s197.

I envision this becoming an 8+ page thread. Ugh. Everyone has their own taste, but, as a GT500 owner of 7 years, I will say the hellcats (and the new demons) are really damned impressive. Hopefully that motivates Ford to keep improving their products.

Its not like Ford didnt build a 662hp car that is much lighter than the HC and also handles better.
I think the Trinnity should be a competitive car if done right.
^^This. I think my favorite car out there is the 2013/2014 GT500. Power and torque with mods when built and tuned properly.
Then, call up BMR for some suspension upgrades and you have yourself a BEASTLY car! Not to mention gorgeous!

Haters gonna Hate. lol

People get wrapped up in "it's a stock car" because it is a 700+ hp stock car with full 5 year warranty that can run 10 sec. 1/4 mile with DR's straight out of the gate.

Add a couple pulleys, injectors and tune, you can be putting down close to 800 hp to the tire.

As for the last part of your post, who the hell goes out and buys a 700+ hp 10 sec. car and worries about gas mileage.

The dude probably rocks a '96 Cobro or similar, and is really diggin' the mpg.

Nothing wrong with an "older" car giving the newer HC a run for its money. But I undertand, you want something new.

Ford seems to be focusing on a great all around package rather than a 1/4 mile car. So the Ford power junkies will have to "make due" with Trinity cars, which is STILL a contender 4 yrs later.
Again, I love my '14 and have no intentions on selling.
Still don't downplay the 5 year old fact; it has nothing on the interface with new models.
The SRT power train adjustments and the Performance Pages app are killer in my Hellcat, and I assume the '18+ Mustang offerings will be on par, they look great from what I've seen.
My personal Trinity car is a contender on anything I'll ever roll up on, and I have no problem making due with the old girl, this is more about Ford/SVT not staying relevant in the game when the GT350R was impressive but over 2yrs old---it was way down on power on introduction and we are now 4 model years from having a new GT500!

oh God enough with the Hell cat! you guys realize it weighs nearly 700 lbs more then a new Mustang...... so its not a DRAG car or a HANDLING car so what exactly does it do?

I think ppl are getting all wrapped up in the fact that its a STOCK car. who gives a rats ass! who keeps their car stock anyway?

its a 10 second car like 10's of thousands of Mustangs out there with some simple blot-ons.

and not to mention the gas mileage is horrendous! 13 mpg city driving from the factory is gonna be 7-9 mpg when YOU are driving it! thats comical for a so-called sports-drag-street car or whatever their calling it..... smh
Dude I guarantee you haven't driven in or driven a Hellcat with an auto trans with that reply. I'm a hardcore Ford guy and there's nothing close to my Charger Hellcat I'd want to drive everyday.
And I drive it daily on drag radials, guaranteed harder than you would on the regular. In mixed driving I'm getting 17.6mpg, checked just today after 3500 miles.
Just a touch under my '14 Ram, better than my '14 GT500 when mildly modded and better than my previous AMG SUV.
Point is, it's the perfect DD package from comfort to insane with double tapping the SRT button, and decent on gas for what it is.
Not that I give a **** about mpg, but I'll put her in Eco mode for the drive down to the NMRA Ohio race, a 3hr drive with 3 guys and supplies, just to check.

Who cares? Only pussies need the manufacturer to make their car credible? Build your car no matter what it is to be faster, for cheaper, and have more satisfaction?
You realize everything I have is modded and my '14 made 943rwhp on pump E85?
I'm not the guy you talk to about modding.
This is about Ford falling behind and needing the next GT500 or Cobra or call it whatever, just give us a top dog modern blown Mustang.
Big difference when started from a blown platform than NA.

I hope Ford comes out with a total package mustang, that can destroy a Demon and also run on a race track like the R can..

Destroy a demon? So we're talking an 8 second car thats also at home on a road course?? I dont think thats even possible in Forza.

I changed my opinion... I hope Ford builds the unbuildable. A 350R handling with a beat the Demon in the straights powerplant.

...And sells it only in Cotton Candy Pink with Unicorn Farts Stripes up the center and an Old Man Tan interior...

Did someone actually say we are 4 model years away from a GT500? LOL...I stopped reading after that.

Well, that would be normal since it was the last sentence of the post.

A twin turbo v8 makes sense at this point. What else could sell the next gt500? Dodge has the straight line. Chevy has the road course. Both supercharged. The only way to stand out is that

I hear you man. I guess I am just a little more basic / simple. I just want a STOUT drivetrain, good handling and dashing good looks.

It will definitely be nice to see the new GT500. I got money that says it will most definitely NOT dethrone the Demon, nor the ZL1 1LE at their own respective games. Probably a mixture of both. 700HP and handles like a 350. Thats my bet.

By the way, what is the current situation with your Trinity?

So,.......you want the new GT500 to be TT V8 just because it will "stand out more"?!?!?
Not me. What I want is the new 2650 TVS in the GT500 making gobs of power and torque with great performance.
