Anyone else frustrated with Ford over the next GT500?

C'mon guys, let's not resort to personal attacks. Let's face it, the new ZL1 has the 350 beat right now at least as far as performance goes. We'll just have to see in the coming months what Ford will come back with, whether it's a ZL1 killer, a Demon killer, or both. Late as the new 500 may be, I definitely think Ford will knock it out of the park.

Yes the zl1 is a powerful and fun car. Welcome to 2012! And yes I'll say the same thing about the 19 gt500 if it's blown. It's a fun car but the track car is the 350.
I'm pretty sure the new GT500 will be blown. Hopefully with the new 2650 TVS. (I'm looking forward to it, anxiously. lol)
Honestly bro,...........I bet more people bring their car to the drag strip and street race than they do to the auto-x or road course. Just a guess. I may be wrong, but I don't think so. And you are correct, the GT350 and GT350R are no doubt track cars. But, they fall flat on the street and drag strip. Not anything wrong with that. (Not my cup of tea, although, the new GT350/GT350R cars look killer.)
So, more people are inclined with/want more power and torque. I do anyways. I want the new GT500 to be beastly. Gobs of power and torque please. lol

Gt350r is better. Zyborg just has to fling crap because she's contracted camaro owner syndrome. Cure for this is sell camaro, buy a mustang.

Also, I was wrong, the gt350r traps 140+ Not 122, sorry for the typo.

I'm still thinking twin turbo v8. Not sure it will be 5.0, could be smaller.

Yes it is, classics combo, beautiful car.
Since you and I both own a Trinity car, and I respect your opinion; Zyborg what do you want to see in the next GT500?

Its just a stock car. Have had other priorities besides modifying at the moment. Almost sold it but decided to keep it. Its an awesome car, even stock.

Exactly. Chevy following Fords lead again. Your car proves it.

Im some ways yes, in some other ways no. All manufactures take cues from others and that includes Ford too.

Thanks man. Id like to see something like the current R with some minor asthetic tweaks to make it stand out. Same suspension but 700+ HP and Id be very happy. Main thing is for the motor/drive train to be bullet proof. What ever it is, Im sure it will be a win. Ford's performance division always seems to get it right.

Yeah I hear ya there. I have an 09 gt. Trying to do little things here and there. Got full exhaust for now that's it. I was trying to get an 07 gt500 that they had but as it was the first car I bought I couldn't get financed for a $25000 car 19 with no credit history doesn't go well with banks lol. My goal is to be as fast as the 13-14 gt500. I was actually thinking about custom making some deck plates to make my 4.6 have the same deck height as the 5.4/5.8 and then put a gt500 crank but it's a lot of work and I want 4v heads if I do that and idk if I can pull that over on the smog techs in ca

Boost and attention to detail on supporting mods can get you there, Im sure. CA regulations will make things tough tho. Good luck.

Thinking about mmr 5.0 stroker though. Or a coyote swap. First choice is 5.8 4v with a tvs but second is coyote then my last choice is this damn 3v with cams and a kb
