Does anyone know what it would take to put one in a 2014 I don't understand why Ford didn't make one for the first generation customers I would love to put one in my car

I could do the Cam's and phasers and chains that's a lot of work on a brand new motor wish they would make one for a gen 1 might have to go the MMR 5.2 but I liked the idea of a complete crate motor

not at my post...
The alluminator uses the Gen 2 camshafts which requires a 2015 -2017 ECU.

The 5.0 aluminator does use GEN 2 cams and hardware . The 5.2 aluminator appears to come with with GEN1 cam hardware.

When you look at the actual engine they are selling it claims to have the Gen 2 cams and I called Ford they told me it has gen 2 cams but I see what you are talking about

Yeah it's confusing and makes you 2nd guess things. I wonder why they show that cam kit with GEN1 hardware in the 5.2 Aluminator details? Could be a typo? In any event I'd definitely want some clarification before pulling the trigger.

Not sure what gen1 vs gen2 is referring to but I see a note saying "5.0l firing order".

Don't know why and don't understand why they would not put out a gen 1 option our cars are out of warranty and better drag racers you would think it would be more likely for us to buy this engine

Those specs above are old.
It now uses the GT 350 oil pump and pan (?no billet gears)
That cam part number is the same for the gen 2 cams. M52(gen 2) NOT M52A(gen 1)

First generation and second generation coyote engines, gen1 being 11-14, gen2 15 and up, well I guess 15-17, I think 18 is supposed to be direct injection and sprinkled with fairy dust

The problem is they don't manufacture a gen 1 engine anymore. Why make gen 1 parts for a small group of crate engines. Besides you probably have a gen 1, so use the cams, gears and chains from it. Just replace your guides, if the gen 2 are to narrow. I'd need to dig through parts to see if there different.

Hope that help mine will be going in the car here in the next couple weeks. Hope that help good luck.
